But I'm guessing that's not so much the case for long lived anime such as Dragonball/Z/GT, Inuyasha, MÄR, among others to name a few, along with current ongoing shows like Case Closed/Detective Conan, One Piece, and Bleach. Idk, maybe that's just my bias as someone who likes to prolong things.

Our brains repress it because otherwise we'd utterly destroy our bodies in the process, much like how Shizuo breaks numerous bones in his body growing up. Though drinking milk doesn't ultimately solve that obstacle. xD That's something illogical. We can still handle quite a bit of strength with willpower alone, but ultimately it's kept in check.

Just like Tokko, Blood+, Trigun, FMA Brotherhood, Ghost in the Shell, Eureka 7, Cowboy Bebop, and a million billion others, this one just might not be seeing another season to satisfy the fan's thirst for a more well drawn conclusion. So fuck it anyway, amirite fellow weabus, otakus, and casual anime fans alike?
