This is probably my favorite Detroit sports moment. So amazing. This and the Pistons raping the Lakers Dream Team back in 2004 when everyone said we were going to get swept. Time for another title from the Tigers, or the LIONS! If the Lions make the playoffs I will probably die of excitement. haha
This still chokes me up. When Kenny pours the champagne on the cop.. man! 2006 was the overall worst year of my life - but this was such a huge boost Here's hoping that they can make it back to the Series in 2010 and get rid of the ghost of that shitty game 163 last year!
I was born in 1985, just a year too late. I grew up watching them with my Grandfather (a lifetime, avid Tigers fan, rest his soul) on WKBD Ch. 50 (before cable took it all over). Long story short: Being an avid Wings fan, and always pulling for the Lions, I can say that this moment was the greatest moment in my young Detroit sports memory. I believe even more so than the ALCS win, just b/c of the underdogs we were. Seeing this, the interaction with the fans, the magic, makes me cry everytime.
DID IT AGAIN!!!!! All business this time and ready for Texas. GO TIGERS!

This was the greatest sports moment ever! Detroit deserved this, and the players understood that, this celebration was bigger than baseball.

This is what seperates the heart of the Tigers with every other team. They wanted to celebrate with the fans. Absolutely fabulous!!!!
