The stick at 2:00 was intended for the someone in the crowd to get... Hes one of the few drummers who will give out his sticks. There was an event in LA where he had an arm full and was passing them out like candy. lol the only stick in this video that is POSSIBLY broken was the first one at the start. Only cuz he looked down in shock at it. I would know because I play really hard too... I have busted 2B's But that was because they were not the sticks I wanted... so I broke them. :P

i think the greatest thing about chad is you just no he's loves playing the drum's, the guy puts every cell of his being into every hit, you could be the most technical drummer on the planet but what people really get off on is seeing some ones personality being expressed through there instrument and chad does that better than no other in my opinion.

@humbertobeaner The groove.  Chad uses a LOT less than Lang and Royster, but he had just as much sense of groove as they do. In fact, I could argue that two basses or a double kick KILLS the sense of groove.

no problem, its nickel plated brass if i remember correctly 14 x 5"... crank the bottom head up tight then tune the top for feel.. sounds badass!!

no, i looked up and he was using Pearl Sensitone Classic II Brass 14 x 5.

in fact, not all drummers use their own Sig snare.

drum companies often make Sig snares because they would be able to sell more since the sig snares have drummer's name written all over it.

dont get me wrong, joey is very good, but i wouldnt say amazing. if u think hes the best metal drummer and the fastest or w/e, check out thomas lang's metal fatique blastbeat video, he fuckin smokes joey, plus lang is amazing at everything else, things jordison couldnt hold a candle to.

and joeys lil head would explode is he attemped the things tomas haake does on a regular basis.

overall chad smith is WAY BETTER then joey joey, and i apologive for even bringin joey up, cause i hate it too

Ok the reason he breaks so many sticks isn't because he's digging into his head or has bad technique...it's because he has diecast hoops and all his 2 and 4 hits are rimshots...

@playswithpassion no he rarely breaks sticks. He has so many at his disposal he just throws them to the crowd or behind him for showmanship. I own his sticks and they are designed for rim shots and extremely hard playing.
