The dubbers of this movies have done a perfect work!! Anyway I always watch the orginal movie with subtitles and it's good and helps me improving my english wich is pretty bad! ;-)
Is there a video here on Youtube that's not dubbed like this? I would love to see it again, although I have the dvd but it's too annoying to get to the point of this happening :)
And probably you've never get in touch with the translated movies title ... if i have enough time I'll prepare you a doc , something hilarious or sad it depends on your humour !
I completely agree . the funny thing is that lot of bad foreign actors became convincing only for the skill of the italians' dubber ! and lot of time the dialogue doesn't makes any sense ...
I don't think italian cinema would be quite as appealing if viewd in german/french/english overdubs. Plus, people miss out on the exposure to other cultures, which is a valuable starting point to learn new languages and increase your faculties.
I also like the subbed original versione instead of the dubbed ones BUT.
For you WAAAAY easier. For people who speak English there is a HUGE variety of movies (bigger than in Italy for sure, I blame the "fall" of italian movies for that). So you can see a lot of movies in your own language and, if you want, a bunch of subbed italian movies. In Italy we(and there are A LOT of old or simply that cannot understand English) would have to see half or 3/4 or movies subbed, and few in our own language

they use this dubbing noncense in foreign tv adverts
in which sounds both sucky and out of sync but sigourney
is a total hottie as zuul .

Agreed, dubbing hurts the film badly. Have they never heard about subtitles?

This dubbed version is atrocious.
Italian film is viewed worldwide with the original dialog, I don't see why would italians pay this diservice to their foreign colleagues.

I have to say that sometime the dubbing is better than original. Sometime is worse. But you have to respect it, it's part of our "culture" anyway :P
