no, my amp is nearly clean, just minimal distortion, then put the DOD on full power...

you have to turn the amp model nob completely to the left... that one has a very clean sound!.... the pedal does the trick...

u need a tube marshall style amp like the 1987X 50W plexi which is similar to what Yngwie uses. But he cranks it up and then uses the pedal to boost the volume for soloing so I don't think u really need that specific pedal to get his tone...

No way! Clean? Where is that sustain and gate coming from? What about the "thickening of the sound?" There is like an octavator or reverb or somehow thickening the sound, but the ped is only a distortion/overdrive, so again, I'm wondering what else is going on??? gate on the amp? noise supression? octavator, reverb, phase shift. I'm not sure what, but there is something going on. If it is just a CLEAN amp, no gate, a a distortino pedal, I'll eat my fucking shoe!

i got a DODYJM308 and an NS2. I wanna sell the NS2. but of course I will get a LOT of noise. I got a PODx3 with a noisegate in it. is this possible: the POD , with only the NOisegate on ,in the FXloop, the YJMDOD308 just in the front amp (so in the input) and then on the shredchannel. can i kill the noise from the DOD with this settings'

yes it does! That's what makes it the "fat strat". But this Yngwie Pre-Amp is not made for playing on the double coil! The real Yngwie Sound is created by the neck positioned single coil!
