First of all, let's stop all this idiotic mud-slinging. This site is for people to be posting their opinions (biased or not). We do have a problem in the US and that is... the emphasis of sports are not into soccer and unless you're playing ball with your hands in the US, that sport(s) will never catch. And the one thing that really irritates me is that Concaf "is" the weakest of all Fifa federations and the reason for that is that many countries in that federation have emphasis in baseball....

Second, they just tied argentina, Germany was lucky as hell to get one of the worst missed handballs in history in 2002. I have tried american football and believe me... real football is a lot harder.. A LOT. Maybe you should try it. Sure you get tackled a lot at american football and it's kind of a nuisance but it's not that bad. Getting kicked -at full speed- to your knees, ankles, shin, sometimes the groin, is more painful. In football you don't even count a tackle as a foul that often and all you have to protect your bones is a thin jersey. See? No scapegoat needed. =)

I wrote football, not american football, try to read more carefully, will you? Maybe you'll understand it then. Tackles not counted as fouls was related to "soccer" as you call it. And the pads are totally unnecassary, people wouldn't die, except for some exceptions, which you have in every sport, even curling for christ's sake. And if you'd watch some football (soccer), you'd know collisions happen quite often. Football is harder, faster and way more exciting than american football. Douch :)

Ok, I know you don't know a damned thing about American football. First quarterbacks have to stand and throw even if they are going to get hit by two 300 pound guys. Second, receivers and tight ends cut across the field where they might have to leap for a ball even though they know they will get hit in the air by a defender running full speed. Third, running backs routinely run through lines of defenders. Fourth, you can block in the NFL and those hits are every bit as hard as tackles. More?
