Infact its the other way around, the dumb, mute and handicapped seem to more prevalent among the dalits. This can be observed by a visit to any slum of India. You are far more likely to meet a dalit with hereditary disease than a Brahmin. And often we are talking about diseases that have no relevance to social class here.
