  • you speak with your strat !

  • great job !!!

  • Comment removed

  • that bitey tone is borderline too pinchy but you got it just right :P

    Rock on!

  • @Kieranmusic89 I agree totally Kieranmusic89...a bit too harsh!

  • you lost your woman, or a dog, because you can play the blues. That goes to show you that music has no color lines.

  • @christaiki Hiya Christaiki,I lost my woman after this was recorded, lol!

    Thanks a lot friend.

  • @christaiki I lost my woman! : ( thanks christaiki.

  • You're a blues man, you're black man, you're a jazz man... you better get your mojo!!

  • @abarrien70 Haha!.....thank you abarrien70!

  • @daviemcf hey dw about what they say, they are just trolling you.

Best thing to do is to completely ignore them and they give up.

(btw trolling is using electronic equipment to get an emotional response)

    And awesome guitar playing btw

  • seriously amazing, skilled guitar playing along with genuine feeling in the way you play

  • @giggalo100 Thanks very much Kyle!

  • Fantastic! I love the chords. Stormy Monday shades into soul and jazz and is simply the greatest of all blues!

  • Totally agree Bob,thanks mate!

  • nice

  • sure nuff, brings back memories.

  • Nice tasty stuff man ! ! Love your style, very nice touch to it ! !

  • Hey Bruce,thanks a lot man!!

  • Awsome Blue's Dave. Long Live this music, may it never be lost to some archive.

  • Hey Lee,the blues will never die, maybe goes away for a while but always comes back! Thanks for the nice comment mate.

  • Thanks blues brother!

  • I really love your tone!

  • Thanks peacequinto....sorry for late reply.

  • I've played the blues on my gibson, as well as my fender for 40 or more years. i really like your sound. remind me of mr. clapton

  • Hey chuckli33,I love comments like this, thanks very much friend.

  • You're a great bluesplayer,man,

    verry good !!!

    *****

    Kurt...

  • Thanks a lot Kurt, will check your channel out soon.

  • I enjoyed it but here's a handy hint: try to play off the music more- blues riffs sound best when they play well with other kids. This can take you to a new level. Nice job though!

  • Thanks for the advice jammin6816.

  • that was great! If ya want i got a stormy solo on my page. Only a little improv

  • Great!

  • Thanks a lot IP!

  • Great crunch! It actually sounds a little like an ES-335! Nice woody open tone. The tone reminds me of Clapton's on From the Cradle and early 70's Freddie King. Great playing and I hope the comparisons don't offend!

  • Not at all Brock in fact I'm quite flattered man, thanks again man.

  • Very nice. Great raw feeling and sound.

Btw, could I ask where you got that backing track from? :)

  • Nice playing man!

  • you have a lot of feeling in your playing which is awesome :) love the intonation

  • very nice playing! love the slide stuff

  • Is that a MIM Strat? Amazing?

  • This is a USA strat,guitargod834,thanks for dropping in!

  • brilliant

  • Thanks a lot Lucas and I hope Birmingham get promotion this season!

  • Great improvisation!great feeling!

  • nice job.......sweet.

  • Amazing!

  • Thanks Alexandra!

  • Great Job!

  • Thanks Richard!

  • Seeing as you're obviously a bit of a master at the old blues geetar (:D), just a quick question:

    Tele or strat?

..ok, ok, I'm sorry haha, but I'm really wanting a good fender to play some blues on and I'm just curious as to your opinion on both guitars? Is there one you prefer or is it a pretty level playing field?

    oh and Great playing!

    -moo

  • Hi Moo,I love both guitars,in fact I love all guitars,if I was rich I'd have them all,would love a Gibson es335,a Les paul,SG,etc.We must jam sometime!!

  • Tell me about it, So many guitars, such little dough! Haha.

  • I am sorry when i am wrong

  • Thats because the 12th is an " E " and the " E " is the third of " C " and the " F " on the 13th is the septim of " C "

  • can you help me out a little? can you help me understand how the notes at around the 12th and 13th frets are still in C? thanks awesome job!

  • I think the best part of this is that you've got a Claptonesque style when soloing on the higher notes. Your phrasing is also very reminiscent of his better improvised blues riffs. Keep at it!

  • so the notes at around :32 seconds around the 12th fret are still in C? wow, shows i still got a lot to learn.... that was FANTASTIC!

  • what the f*&k just happened that was awesome man good job

  • Cheers wez740!

  • Damn! You got the blues! I'm favoriting to steal some of those blues. Very well done.

  • Thanks The12ismine.

  • Very Good...is that a slight fuzz tone you are using?

  • It's a Boss Blues Driver pedal SuaveGav89,I use it for an overdrive effect as my amp's too loud for the house to crank up.

Johnny's a fine slide player, thanks again friend.

  • Exelent, sounds really professional. Do you play a lot of gigs? Gijs

  • I haven't played gigs for about 12 yrs Gijs, was in a band called Blue 62,we won the Alexis Korner Memorial blues award for the best blues band in Scotland then we broke up,doesn't make sense!anyway thanks for the comment friend.

  • Well, weird indeed. Don't you want to play in a band, start your own band. Or does the breakup stil hurt?!?! Gijs

  • Too old!!

  • Have you passed 75 yet?

  • 74and a half! :(

  • Haha, no worries, music is in the soul. I saw the skatalites two weeks ago. Bob Dylan was here in holland performing, last month. Rolling Stones...

  • I saw the Stones recently in Glasgow, they're still an amazing band.

  • Yes, they changed. And it still is interesting. A friend of mine saw them a couple years ago in a concert with 1000 man public. Just a little concert. Great.

  • Great tune , great improvisation and a great Bluesman !

  • You're too kind GVP! thanks buddy.

  • Wow, another great performance. Where do you get the backing track please? And also what effect do you use to get such a warm stratocaster sound? Cheers, Jam.

  • Will send a message Jamie.

  • What can I say...superb playing just sends chills to your soul. How long have you been playing? Obviously you have a great feel and soul for this classic song. Your very talented. I just started taking guitar lessons ....how would I go about playing Stormy Monday in an attempt to recreate your performance. This is such a great blues piece. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great playing. You need to be up on stage with Clapton! Tim

  • Thank you Tim,it's very much appreciated, will send you a message soon.

  • Thanks Paul, you're guitar playin'is fantastic, keep postin' 'em vids man!!

  • What I like about your playing is you're hitting essential notes and playing with great feel, a Jazz guitarist could also put in those diminished lines but if the essence ain't there just forget about it,you've got the Blues going man, real nice, great tone too, greetings Victor.
