People who are being tortured will say anything to make it stop. If they are innocent, they make up anything they think the torturer wants to know. If they are guilty, they will still make up info. There is no time in history that torture turned out to be the right thing to do; either morally OR because it was effective.

Your argument that lives are saved has not EVER been proved correct. Even in this war, no good intelligence from torture, but lots of innocent people have been tortured.
