  • What happened to the apple?

  • thinking about making a bunch of ghost accounts just to thumb up this stuff, but I would get kicked so neigh

  • the locket example is compelling... hmmm

  • it never works

  • OK Then... Please answer this.

In any kind of Capitalism (besides Free market) how do you prevent Corporations from lobbing politics? How do you stop them from giving government hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars to make policy that makes it harder for competitors to work they'er way up and compete or even to strip us of our rights?

  • @ShinobiDJLive905 Make it illegal and penalize them with prisontime

  • @modplugrad its already illegal... we are living in a day of age where laws that are on the book are not being enforced.

  • hmm...looks like you've found a worthy intellectual competitor, took you 23 min to defend yourself, and your ideas, as opposed to the standard AA 10-15 min norm. Even after your heartfelt defense, he still landed a few punches. Good job defending yourself, but it wasn't the typical TJ pwnage, jussayin

  • @WBrizzle81 dude, do you realize how naunced economics is?

  • I love Marilyn Manson!!!

  • "fraud and exploitation are a crucial element of the money-making process" When I go to Wal-mart, one of the biggest "evil corporations", I do not go expecting to be defrauded or exploited, and I never have been, so this is probably incorrect.

If by exploited you are referring to foreign workers, then realize that whenever you say jobs should stay here, you are exploiting the foreign workers yourself by wishing to leave them unemployed merely so that people closer to you can be employed instead

  • "we own our own labor" says the description of this video. Yes, you do, but you do not own anything of anyone else's. If you believe you do, you are wrong. If you believe that fraud or evil are abundant, and you believe that regulation is necessary, but are nieve enough to think that regulators are safe from corruption, you are wrong. Since the corrupt are drawn to power, we ought to minimize and eliminate government power. Make all decisions be voluntary and by the consumer and worker.

  • If the entire world were like you our problems would all be gone.....We could all live in our parents basement,be fat and lazy, never get laid, argue on the internet, and eventually contribute little to nothing valuable to society. Why don't you fix your own problems before you save the world. Lose 100 pounds, get a girlfriend, a job and ppl may take you seriously.

  • @russelpad12 don't know if you noticed but he gets a fairly decent amount of money for being one of the most watched channels on youtube he does not really have to work for a living =(

  • @russelpad12 wow, conform or be cast out, rush... hmmmm

  • Look at capitaliat countries compared to communost countries. Despite republicans being idiots, free market works. I am a liberatarian, and I think it is very hypocritical that you are promoting selling your book and arguing about capitalism.

  • @TrystanBen dude, its not that simple. you would probably need some type of hybrid system, whatever that my be... its way more complicated.

  • You bash the free market system and yet your selling a book? Can you say hypocrite

  • @flyboy535 He didn't say he isn't using the system - just that he doesn't agree with it.

    There's a difference.

  • for someone who described themselves as a "dancing clown" you make some good points

  • I can't believe you went through this whole video without ever mentioning the leverage that big corporations have over workers. Since the lower and middle classes HAVE to work to eat, they can't just wait for someone to offer reasonable wages and working conditions for their labor. So the corporations can set whatever insanely low wages they want, which is why sweatshop countries like Malaysia and Singapore are in such bad shape. This is coersion, plain and simple.

  • Thank you, Mister Atheist.

  • Right and left-wing economics == voodoo economics. In the REAL WORLD only mixed-markets have ever existed. Doren lives in a fantasy world, to some degree.

  • @tstruss912

You're an idiot if you advocate a mixed economy.

    watch?v=33AS5RwTI6E

  • @RealityChecker77 Norway, the country with the highest standard of living, is a mixed economy. That's something you might want to consider.

  • @IseeRightThrough2you Seeing that Norway is not part of the E.U and has one of the most relaxed regulations in the area no wonder its a success.

  • @KyleClarkUSA

Exactly. The more government regulations, the worse off the economy. We want regulations from the free market.

  • How about incentivised socialism, or a combination of capitalism and socialism? We already have aspects of socialism (public military/police/firemen/teachers anyone?) that work fairly well.

  • ... If I was a prostitute?

Oh man, you are never going to sway anybody with that kind of tact. I am sorry but now I know you are just wanting to speak your mind. @ 10:32, you said enough there that I discontinued watching from there. Yes, you have subjective views but let's include another word in there ... let me see, yes, you also have selective views that fit only in your mind. I thought I was going to learn something here. I have learned that u r a socialist.

  • @strke4ce Why do people assume that socialism is a bad thing? While it is true that it is difficult to implement, in fact it is so difficult that to this day noone has managed to perfectly implement it, but the idea is a good one. Isn't it?

  • @orjanst1 You know, that is a good question. I tend to favor individuals with drive and educated ambition. Some succeed and some fail, but everybody benefits from the successors. I could be wrong but socialism tends to impact entrepreneurship and based on those perceptions, feel more enslaved by a government or other entity with regulations or other limits. If there are disputes in regards to the environment/other concerns, that's what the fed. courts are for. Think a free nation.

  • @strke4ce Just saw some of the youtube-clips on Christopher Hitchens, and I kinda feel that a "perfectly" implemented socialist society would have much the same effect as religion. Although, perhaps not to the same extent. It would probably stifle progress in all major scientific fields. So... short term: near impossible. Long term: extremely detrimental... Not claiming any knowledge of the subject though, I was thinking more of the usage of the word, and in the US, the stigma surrounding it.

  • @orjanst1 By the way, just to give a little clarification, I am not a professor of economics but I do read materials, some which are bias against the subject of socialism. I am familiar with Keynesian economics and to a degree, understand that we do need some regulations. But we must always remember that those choices come with a cost, such as an abuse in power or overlording and preventing freedoms from existing. There may never be a true answer for anything that we can all agree on.

  • @strke4ce By the way... I think this is the first uplifting conversation I've ever had on youtube. Many think that when you cannot be held accountable for what you are saying then there is no need for humility. It is common to scream ones message as loud an boisterous as possible and then walk away. But seeing as the demographic for TJ consists of 90% openminded atheists, the odds are kinda in my favor. Though 9% still use the aforementioned tactics... I leave 1% out because some are different.

  • @orjanst1 Yeah I understand where you are coming from. In theses types of threads, many people try to use negative comments if there are disagreements but sometimes I just listen. I try to understand certain things without taking it personal but when I hear something that cries "objection" I try to give a counterpoint while avoiding to offend people. In YouTube, it is difficult to be honest sometimes. Stay true to yourself, orjanst. =)

  • What? Being a creationist and 'understanding' evolution aren't mutually exclusive events.

  • @johnjcb1 Anyone who understands and has seen the evidence for evolution isn't a creationist. Either that or they are pitifully stupid, there is no debate in the scientific community and nor should there be on the internet or in political debates.

  • @ErectileFunk There are too many hasty generalisations in your comment, none of which are true.

  • @johnjcb1 The fact of the matter is that evolution has been conclusively proven, there is absolutely no doubt that it is the cause for the diversification of life. The only opposition to this is religious, which is just a display of blind faith. Creationists discard decades of scientific study and research because it doesn't correlate with a certain interpretation of their book. Please explain why almost all non-evolutionists are fundamentalist theists.

  • @ErectileFunk I completely agree. Macro evolution has been more than proven, and any creationists who put the blinders up are nothing short of dumb. The early evolution of all life just doesn't cut it for me, where one genus evolves into another. And how everything began, whether or not evolution really did start all life, with the big bang and whatnot, I feel that a higher being needed to cause that to happen, or put the dense ball of matter there in the first place. That is just my view, man.

  • @johnjcb1 Ok, fine. But that isn't doesn't make you a creationist as opposed to someone who believes in evolution. Most Christians believe in evolution so when people say "creationists are stupid" they mean young earth creationists, or people who reject evolution for religious reasons. The theory of evolution is completely independent from the big bang or abiogenesis or any other origin theory. Evolution just explains the diversity of life and how species came to be.

  • @ErectileFunk Good hustle. However, am I a young earth creationist for believing that God created animals and humans in an already developed form, who then macro evolved?

  • @johnjcb1 You'd have to define macro evolved because I'm not sure how you use it in that contest. If you believe that there was an instance where there was no life and then humans spontaneously came to being (through god or whatever) than you don't believe in the theory of evolution. This is, I'm sorry to say, quite ridiculous. You'd have to simply ignore proof against this to reach such a conclusion.

  • @ErectileFunk It does sound ridiculous, but I'm afraid it's what I believe, and I can't really change what I believe, truly. There is, however, no evidence that any genera changed into another, as well as biologically impossible. As is the gender division. It simply can't and doesn't happen.

  • @johnjcb1 Sorry to bump into this conversation, but what you just said was silly. "I can't really change what I believe"? Seriously? So if you thought the earth was flat and then traveled to space and saw it was, in fact, round, would you still believe it was flat? If you can't change your beliefs, then yes, you would still believe it was flat despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. And the theories of flat earth and creationism have equally little evidence favoring them.

  • @Paolur I accept your apology. What I said was badly worded. I understand both arguments for evolution and creation, and atheism and christian. So I took it upon myself to weigh them up. All arguments considered I chose christianity. Having done all that and made my choice, I'd only be lying if I said I didn't believe there was a God. That's what I meant at least.

  • @johnjcb1 Believe whatever you want but acting as if you reached any conclusion leading to faith based on evidence or evaluation is simply dishonest. You're telling me that you began careful research into both sides of the "god" argument without a prior bias?

And yeah, you're right, there's no evidence of speciation EVER occurring. Except for the countless documented examples as well as it actually being observed. It's much more scientific to think that they just appeared out of thin air.

  • @ErectileFunk I never said it was scientific, in fact, faith is belief without evidence. And don't give any examples of speciation, just say I'm wrong and that it happened and leave it at that. The following things are biologically impossible: Spontaneous generation, and the gender division, where an asexual organism decides to evolve into one gender while another does the same to a different gender, both of which are sexually compatible. I don't care whether or not you think i'm honest or not.

  • @johnjcb1 Their is a 500 or so character limit on youtube and you expect me to report decades of research when simply typing in "examples of observed speciation" into google reveals dozens of results.

There are many species of fish and sea life that are hermaphrodites, meaning they can change gender as required by the species, try looking that up too.

Wtf does spontaneous generation have to do with evolution? You know what else is impossible? Magic sky gods who wish things into existence.

  • @ErectileFunk Don't dismiss what some people believe as a very real God as impossible. Science today has proven and found means of doing things that in a previous time would have been "impossible".

What we know about this universe and this Earth are theories and understanding from what we already know; and believe you me they will simply be changed to meet the new discoveries.

What you read or are taught may be stated as fact, but it needs you to have faith in it being true; or then it is void.

  • @ErectileFunk ..With that in mind; The Bible, you must note, never sets out to prove the existence of God; in the same way, it was written providing he exists -if he exists, then that's the explanation for the events documented in the book.If you want proof of God's existence then you will have to find him yourself. Christians believe in a spiritual God who then will be found at a spiritual level. What you may find is that he isn't there where you "thought" he would surely be if he was anywhere.

  • @TheLostMasterpiece I could replace "god" in that sentence with Santa but that's kind of tired. Instead I'll rewrite it but without the bullshit.

"We don't know everything. Because we don't know everything you can't say something's impossible. Believing in god *seems* stupid, but it's actually not, because of this thing I just invented called the spirit level. See, you have faith too because you think your senses are more reliable than a 2000 y/o book from unknown authors."

    Not too compelling.

  • @ErectileFunk Thank you for the feedback. I needn't compel you, just say where I am standing.

    Well all the best. :)

  • @ErectileFunk Hermaphroditic animals have nothing to do with what I said. However, I wish you all the best in finding facts to suit your theory.

  • @johnjcb1 You said it's biologically impossible for animals to change gender. You were wrong. Seeing as you appear incapable of looking up the proof that I have directed you toward, I must only assume that you don't give a fuck whether your beliefs are true, or you're so stupid you barely have the capability to breathe. May I ask you what qualifies you to instruct me on what is biologically impossible in order to disprove me when almost every biologist believes in evolution?

  • @ErectileFunk Nothing short of a GCSE in biology. Asexual organisms can't all hold a community meeting, and take it upon themselves to all evolve into two genders, 50 50 split. Hermaphroditic animals still have nothing to do with what I said. Have a nice life.

  • @johnjcb1 Well than surely you've heard of the multiple theories regarding the origins of sexual reproduction. You would also of course, understand that some protists reproduce sexually and you would also understand bacterial conjugation and how it could conceivably lead to sexual species.

You really think your retarded ass can disprove evolution with one bullshit line about gender origins? Possibly try some research in subject?

  • @ErectileFunk No, and I definitely don't think either of us can sway each others world view in YouTube comments. Well, It's been insightful to say the least. I wish you all the best.

  • for god's sake, you fucking free-marked idiots, lets not regulate the market to provide fairness of distribution

and instead lets destort Darwin's theory of evoloution to be "the survival of the fittest",

    a term HE NEVER USED

when in fact he wrote of how social animals had a cooperative role in terms of survival, and NOT a compeditative one

  • @Morthund "for god's sake, you fucking free-marked idiots, lets not regulate the market to provide fairness of distribution" You fail to recognize that government intervention in a free market system not longer makes it a free market. it makes it a mixed crony capitalist system.

the free market should work through supply and demand, and should not be crippled by shitty government decisions.

  • When people donate to religious or charitable organizations, they are indeed acting in their own self-interest. For many, giving time and/or resources to others is a source of joy. No different than the joy people get when playing video games. Feeling wanted/needed and helping out are personal incentives. These incentives are not as strong as most other personal incentives, however, which is why communism has never, ever, worked.

  • @classiclibertarian An incentive is based purely upon the type of society one was brought up upon. If an individual was born and raised in a capitalist system, they're top priority will be monetary and materialistic things. If the someone was brought up in a communist society, their top priority will be social interaction, fitting in, being accepted by others, not material things, because people don't have to compete for them. There's no such thing as a set human nature.

  • @NuhUhGirlfriend Well, sort of. Human nature/personal incentives just need to be viewed on a larger scope. Incentives are not based purely on the type of society in which one is raised. All the Soviets who moved to capitalist countries can be proof of that. Same with North Koreans moving elsewhere. And, although it isn't really a free market, the USA is still mostly capitalist. I know many people whose top priorities are social interaction and acceptance by others. Likewise, I know people who

  • @classiclibertarian who only want to pursue financial and materialistic goals. In my opinion, the most prominent types of incentives are: Monetary/materialistic, love/emapthic/sharing, and revenge/envy. Those apply to all people in some form or another. Every person feels better when a true goal is accomplished. I hope you aren't majoring in sociology...

  • @classiclibertarian 1. Then what, my friend, is the origin of incentive? 2. The Soviet system made no real effort to create a communal based society, they weren't really socialist, etc. 3. Do you think those incentives are, and have been, universal for humans throughout time?

  • @NuhUhGirlfriend Origin of incentive? I'm not sure what you mean by that. I personally view incentive as the individual/personalized driving mechanism for humans to exceed subsistence. Incentives vary from person to person, I'll admit. Humans throughout time? I'm not exactly sure of which stage of evolution we started having incentives, but yes, if I think I know about what you're talking. The Soviets were raised to believe that the results of production should be equally shared among everyone.

  • @classiclibertarian That was the society in which they lived for almost a century. One can also look at the massive amounts of immigrants from China the US received when it was "communist." Or the ones from Cuba. I'm not saying communism was perfect, but those countries who were communist pretty much went off the Marxist model. I'd argue that they didn't succeed because of human nature/incentives.

  • i hope for a star trek economy:D

  • Hey everybody here answer this simple question. How can we be free market capitalists when we have had a central bank (federal reserve system) with a monopoly on the money supply and the artificial control of interest rates? I will add that it is in the COMMUNIST MANNIFESTO to have "centralization of credit into a national bank and a monopoly."

  • @jneil2007 Yea, but it's half owned by privately, and half owned by the government

  • @acekiller121 Actually no. It is a private cartel created by government. The government owes 1.6 trillion to the Fed. How do they owe money to a bank they half own?

  • @jneil2007 Because they owe 1.6 Trillion to the OTHER half that is PRIVATE

  • @acekiller121 There are no halves. The fed is a private cartel. It is virtually the same thing as the national industrial recovery act where other industries were formed into cartels. The federal reserve act was created to control interest rates, the money supply, and be a lender of last resort. That is not a free market when a group of men decide who wins and loses. And also sends money overseas and won't reveal who got what.

  • @jneil2007 Ok, I have given up now. You can go ahead and think whatever you wish, but I know for a fact it was decide some time ago to be half and half.

  • @acekiller121 I have never heard this theory from anybody. This is why I think you are misinformed on the federal reserve. The federal reserve is as federal as federal express. It is completely owned by private stockholders. If the government owned part of it it wouldn't have to sell treasury bonds to increase the supply of money.

  • @jneil2007 crony-capitalism isn't the same thing as capitalism

  • Capitalism is like a raging beast.

    I say kill it.

  • @VolcanicPenguin crony-capitalism isn't the same thing as capitalism

  • @WorldMilitia

in the real world it is, where the government can be bought just like anything in the free market, it's just another market and always has been and always will be in a Capitalist society.

  • @VolcanicPenguin When the government is limited and has no/very little power over the economy, no one will have any incentive to "buy" the government.

  • @classiclibertarian

    Why not?

  • Random question: What's that anime picture on the wall from?

  • @TheEndOfLiberty Neon Genesis Evangelion, character is Rei

  • @DBN, yup you're right i did indeed confuse, them,as it so happens i'm not exactly a student of politics, and i never will be, so thanks for pointing out that blithereing obvious mistake.

  • How many people on this wall are qualified to talk about economics?

  • No, no. I do not agree with this. This is not okay. This is not okay with me.

  • @TheAmazingAtheist The apple is a finite resource, but you are failing to account for the energy that is derived from the apple. The food you eat is converted into energy that can be used to work, earn money, them go out and buy a laser pointer. food is finite, but the you are wealthier because you have the energy that you can use for whatever you want.

  • Well economics isn't an exact science. you seem to be getting it though. capitalism is just inefficient.

  • quite a few countries actually adopts this type off model for their society. But major problems with socialism is that there are very little specializations on the arts and cultural sector, as most socialist societies shut out these people. As robbie williams from dead poets commented 'there are nobel prospeects such as engineering to pursue, but literature defines us from other living beings'.

  • @BARRETREC7 arts and culture are worthless and should pay as such.

  • @BARRETREC7 are you sure you are understanding the difference between social democracy and socialist society ? Most social democracies do not shut out the arts. In fact you'll find that they even have ministry portfolios for the arts

  • The last one made me laugh.

  • 11:28 you should have done a retake mate :/

  • JIGGLY LITTLE FAT FAGGOT HAD BETTER STAY OUT OF PUBLIC, HE IS CULTIVATING ENEMIES. I DON'T THINK HE MAKES ENOUGH MONEY DOING THIS TO AFFORD BODY GAURDS, DO YOU?

  • @Klauwsawitzz What?

  • FREE MARKETS SOLVE EVERYTHING! FREE MARKETS ARE MAGIC! MAGIC LIKE JESUS AND RON PAUL!!!!!1111@@@!11

  • @baltech22 Troll harder bro.

  • Complete fool thinks he knows what he is talkin about. We don't have free market capitalism. We have coporat facism/socialism. Free market capitalism means private gains/loses. Socialism = Public gain/public losses. Well, we have been half way to socialism since 1929. When a big corporation makes money it is private, when it loses money it is public. Thing would be much better off if we had free markets but we dont. So educate urself. Ura USEFULL IDIOT!!!

  • @AreWeStillFree1 Dude, you can't even spell. You're going to try to pretend that you know what you're talking about when you can't even use proper grammar?

  • @AreWeStillFree1 You... Ugh...

  • @AreWeStillFree1 It's technically a corporate capitalist system that emerged in the Industrial Revolution. So you are actually the one who needs to educate themselves.

  • Absolute dumb fuck.

    Totally wasted 20 seconds

  • I would be interested to know your opinions on universal Health Care.. unless you already made a video about that, in which case, I should find it :3

  • @Shniglepus In numberous videos he says he's for universal health care

  • You should run as an independent candidate for president just to see idiotic the general public is. You already have 264,438 supporters, this might be enough to get coverage on fox news! I can just see it now. "THIS JUST IN: Silly Atheist god hater wants your children to burn in hell" or "This atheist thinks he can run for president? hardy harharhar what a left wing loony" or "This presidential nominee wants to kill christmas!!!!"

  • @WeEatBrainz not all of his followers are american

  • holy shit hyrule crest!

  • And this is my valve argument. More articulated... but valve is overselling pixelated hats instead of lockets.

And yeah, it is wrong... but people do it anyway because they can't afford not too. And amazing atheist was saying a lot of good things, but fell back on his reactionary, "it's better then communism" crap.

No, it isn't. Anything would be better then this shit. Even your McCarthy nightmares of the Soviet Union. Which is all a lie anyway...

  • A coffin an example, it's very subjective. That's why I am either going to choose to donate my body, or cremation.

  • For his argument, he kind of ignores the giant flaws. In the "aren't you glad" portion of the argument, he suggests the FDA actually does its job pretty well... I'm not sure I would agree with that. He suggests the BBB does its job pretty well... and I don't agree. When homeopathic remedies can be sold right next to actual medicine, -someone- is not doing their job.

But I still agree with him in general, because Lee probably did the same thing.

  • Evils cum.

  • Totally unregulated Capitalism failed terribly. If those Cronies would take a moment to look away from profit margins and into a history book, then they would see that the unregulated Capitalism in history concentrated the wealth into a few hands and created an enormous working class proletariat. When this happened, the impoverished working class made their own economic plan and political party, Communism. America went into the Depression, and FDR's New Deal saved it, Liberal regulation saved it

  • @bodinian that's funny, because the government regulations actually lengthened the depression

  • @bodinian you are getting mixed up with regulations and rights. People should be free to pursue whatever they want as long as they do not interfere with other peoples liberties.

  • @bodinian "unregulated Capitalism in history concentrated the wealth into a few hands and created an enormous working class proletariat" I have found no such instance in history besides debeers Which is odd within it's self. competitive free market capitalism is the best counter method to monopolies . most monopolies to date where the result of government interference.

  • @bodinian

"America went into the Depression, and FDR's New Deal saved it," America went into a great depression because of the federal reserve and poor government promoted lending practices. And FDR didn't save anything, his plan only worked for that short period of time because of the war. this is the only instance where government does a good job, Because everyone strives for the same objective. TO WIN.

  • @bodinian What got us out of the war was the free market indeed and all of the production being resumed to companies that wanted to produce for the market. You cannot spend your way out of debt and burden industry with heavy regulations (some of which are written ass backwards not even utilizing basic sense) The only thing that makes sense is the market and companies having to compete and satisfy US!

  • @tehatemachine The one thing I will agree with you on is that the Federal bank is shit and needs to go. The Fed caused more problems than it is worth, we should dispose of it.

  • @bodinian the federal reserve is highly unconstitutional. And should be abolished.

  • @tehatemachine Agreed

  • @dane1848 Cool story bro.

  • @dane1848 cool story bro.

  • @dane1848 Cool story, bro.

  • @dane1848 Cool story, bro...

  • @dane1848 Hey, bro. Just thought I'd let you know that was a cool story.

  • @dane1848 Cool story, my brotha

  • I am posting this while watching so I will only comment on the first few minutes of the video. I agree with the statement of being open to other ideas. For instance I don't think socialism(in my opinion the polar opposite of my current views.)is the correct way of doing things , that being said I don't shut down other peoples arguments for socialism or egalitarian societies. You seem to be a man open to ideas. However your other video was a video looking for an argument,I'm sure you got many ~

  • @MrPratman ~ There are several arguments for anarchy and law including a youtube video done by David D Friedman. (If you have the time 40 minute video) also he has written many books as well as several other people who are experts in their fields and could explain it better than I can.

  • @MrPratman I don't believe it is fraud or exploitation because things have a greater value than the sum of its parts. For instance I cannot make your book , because I don't have your thoughts and it might take me years to write your book just by the process of elimination and 50 dollars is cheaper than the years I could spend writing my own book. The same could be said for any other product. I wont get into how regulation is not good because this will become more of a rant.

  • A free-market does not mean there would be no regulations. Their would be no government regulations because the government wouldn't exist. Market regulations would exist but force would not be used against those who wish to do business in an unregulated environment. Most people prefer regulations of some sort so private regulators would take the roll of the government. Recourse could be done through DRO's. Private Dispute Resolution Organizations who could also take part in regulating markets.

  • Just curious if you ever reached out to Stefan Molyneux aka "Stefbot" on Youtube. I think you two would have some interesting conversations.

  • @RMJChannel : (

  • @RMJChannel

No, we do not. Resource-based economies almost always constitute consequentialist ideals. A resource-based economy would also require the Federal Government to have absolute dominion in the marketplace, thus this would cause an unbalanced scale of power between the Federal Establishment and the States/Individuals.

You wouldn't be on the internet talking to me right now if we had a resource-based economy.

  • TheAmazingCommieRetard

  • @argenta86 can you explain to me what is wrong with communistic system? im not defending it or something, but i just want to know what would make an american (may i asume?) use 'communist' as an insult against somebody who has different political views.

  • 1. who pays TJ

    2. Capitalism is raging beast... This is just religious talk. The things that really exist ARE PEOPLE, not some SINGLE monster, it is just a playing with words. And people WOULD care, the same way they care now, but they will be MORE RESPONSIBLE and would not wait for some inefficient government to do their job.

  • If i want to live and want things then i (only i) have put value on something. Attaining anything you WANT increases your "wealth" because it contributes to your satisfaction, which as you said is important to keep people happy which contributes to their ability to create further wealth. Also the apple and the laser pointer are of equal value because the jobs they are meant for are included in their value, and you know this entering into the transaction.

  • ALL humans at ALL times act with self interest! There is no such thing as ALTRUISM! Every person does what they do because they desire to do so. Does objective value really exist? Some people don't even want to live, so how is anything NEEDED? Aren't all things WANTS?

  • The only value argument that i see that has worth is Marginal value. It merly states that the more abundant something is the less value it has. It explains supply and demand and why water costs less than dimonds. Subjective value is part of that.

And youve completly missed the double profit argument. If two people enter a deal willingly is because the value what the other person has more than what they have. You value the sex or finite resource more than your money or you wouldnt do it..

  • Anything that involved, Governments, Money, and any past form of politicial social organization has no connection to the proper co-existence of this earth.

    We need to Resource-Based Economy.

  • @EasternMerchant

    "We need to Resource-Based Economy."

    No, we do not.

  • When the fuck did "socialism" become a bad word? Last time I checked, the increase of taxes on the rich and social programs made EVERYTHING BETTER.

SERIOUSLY, ROOSEVELT DID GOOD THINGS FOR THIS COUNTRY! WHY ARE WE FORGETTING THIS?

Also, we are on the path of deregulation. It is a path that will lead to many, many bad things if we don't do something about it.

  • Pathetic ignorant fool.

  • @gctechs Explain how he is a pathetic ignorant fool.

  • Free Market Solution: Let reckless banks fail.

Government Solution: Bail them out. (with your expropriated money)

Best "government regulation" in the history of mankind: Congress shall make no law.....

  • At least you can admit you don't understand economics. I don't know if anybody told you this but we have a central bank called the Federal Reserve, it's private. It stands by to bail out certain banks (whomever they choose) that fail or go bankrupt. It's safe to say we wouldn't have this bubble (inflationary) economy and schemes going on if there wasn't a lender of last resort aka the Federal Reserve.

  • we should make a time machine and go back to right after the industrial revolution, and ask them what they think about capitalism.

We need to ask ourselves WHY governments were inforced by the people. Do you capitalists think it was done only for fun. Do you think we argued for democrasy for the sake of having something to do?

Another thing. We need to ask why the market failed at human rights, and why unions had to work together with government to achieve what is today seen as normal. NEXT

  • @gulbirk Part 2: Unions together with government have succeded in most western couuntries (not USA) to provide humans with the basic needs. So we need to ask ourselves, why couldnt capitalism do that on its own?

To all those who wish for the free market. Ask yourselves. Do you want to go back to 12 hour days? Do you want to go back to being paid so little its just enough to get by? Do you want to hate so little options, that even your childrens lifes are determinded at birth? No? why not?

  • @OliverMilton He acts like an idiot to so that it will hide the times when he really is one (88.6 % of the time) and so you'll think it's just part of the act
