This game was released in 2004. I bought it something like 2006 because i wanted to find a game similar to commandos. ( I Really loved them) I was REALLY impressed about the graphics. I think it still looks good. I have played the other games too (FoW and MoW) I still think this is the best. btw do you know any nice mods?

Remember they day this was released, it was the first game i bought in many years, bought it on release.

Played it tons in MP with some realism mods, it was one of the best MP experiences i have had to date. The units felt perfect (with mod) and the maps was awesome.

I just cant get the same feel with any of the MoW games. It doesn't feel as polished as this game was, and the scale seem way to big in MoW compared to SHoWW2. I prefer the GFX in SH vs MoW, its simpler to see whats happening.

@erpvb Yes, and when I seen this video, I get it some days after. It's an awsome game, really hard, but chanllenging and so good gameplay. I've yet finished the USSR campaing and I'm actually at the end of UK campaing. No many RTS are really tactic but the serie of that russian team is awsome.

Whenever I play this mission I always try to capture the Tiger, mainly for the invaluable means of its use during the fighjt, especially against that Panther which appears later on.

Hi there. The game runs fine in Windows 7 with compatibility. I figured it should be fine with Vista as well. Try it with XP SP3 compatibility :)

Well, personally I've never tried Vista. Went straight from XP to 7 :) But the general opinion seems that it's faster/speedier than Vista, even XP. Running 64-bit, having no problem with Fallout 3.

Yeah, the RC will expire sometime next year I think. I'm using the release version though. Hmm, very odd that the game doesn't run on Vista. The game crashes on Win7 w/o compatibility too, have you tried with compatibility mode?

I think there may be a patch you can download. Search Game Spy or Google.

I have not tried it but perhaps you can partition your computer and load an XP on a partition. Then you will have no problems running it from XP platform

what... are you serious? Soldiers lags but not FoW? I used P4 3GHz, 6800GT and 2GB for the video. Basically ran super smooth except for when there are lots and lots of explosion on screen (more than usual :) ) I recorded at 1024x768 I think.

Indeed, that's what makes this game so unique. The AI isn't too bright, but they usually have the advantage of numbers.

To be fair, I used an AT grenade to take out the Tiger, so its not a normal frag grenade. Tigers have so much armor it usually takes 2-3 to take it out. The rugged terrain is important too: In open field, my soldiers wouldn't last a second :)
