@ItsNickJx I have heard many variations of this same basic tune, I'm pretty sure it originally comes from a very old piece of music from...Romania perhaps?
Not my favourite album (That would be "Fires at Midnight" followed by Ghost of a Rose) but at least it's no "Village Lantern". This song is maybe one of my favourites on this album.
This is nice and all but something happened to BN after ghost of a rose, besides an obvious dip in songwriting skills and more attention towards cheesy pop ballads, the production on the last albums have been crap - the drums sound weak and uninspired and the guitars sound rather...thin. I'm not saying that the stuff is horrible, but it all seemed to go bad so fast
@JettKuroi It does have the same time sig as a lot of polkas and traditional circle dances (Greek and Hebrew) Nothing wrong with that. They've put a new spin on it.
Thank you for uploading this album. I've been looking forward to it ever since I heard they were coming out with a new one a bit ago. I'm a bit disappointed that there isn't quite as memorable as Ghost of a Rose or Locked Within a Crystal Ball, but there is still some great stuff that I will no doubt listen to again and again in the future. Interestingly, I think most of the really good songs from this album are the slower ones. Most of the more upbeat ones just didn't grip me quite as much.
@andysengines Ok, after listening a second time I feel I may have been a bit harsh with my first post. Although I still feel that way very generally, the album comes off sounding much better the second time listening. Perhaps I had just set my expectations too high the first time around.
@andysengines i tend to agree with you. it is taking a few listens but it is becoming a bit of a grower.some of these songs like this one will be good live i think

Listen to the intro to this, then listen to the intro to "Knockgrafton" by Leprechaun.
Does anybody else hear it?

@BronwynWolf Not saying there's anything wrong with the song, but this sounds nothing like Polka.
