All you folks sayin' everybody knows this as being done by Great Big Sea or that it sounds like Great Big Sea are dolts. I was fourteen when I first heard this song and it was intruduced as Home for a rest by Spirit of the West. Fiddles, squeezebox and flute aside they sound NOTHING like Great big sea, I know because I've seen Great big sea live in concert and they even sang home for a rest during that show.
