  • I heard some tunes he might have copied, maybe without knowing.

I can't name them sadly, they just sound horribly familiar.

  • @Nightrazr There are more than 14,000 known rags. There will pretty much always be something that sounds similar to something else.

  • sounds like joplin himself

  • I wish there was a transcript of this. So good.

  • fantastic!

  • This is brilliant. The music, the outro, the beard. It's all absolutely perfect.

  • I think that ''WOW'' just about sums it up...

  • This improvisation is very well organized. It seems a "real" piece!

  • What a fine piece of music!

  • OOOMMMGGG he is sooo goooood!!!*faints*

  • i think that is rediculously underrated

  • ... in D flat, no less!!!

  • "Just a little piece of my soul I felt like sharing with you" Is a phrase I use whenever I make something up that people like. Feel free to use it! It's an easy way to get people impressed, that is, unless you find what you just did easier.

...Oh well! As always, cool stuff and keep it up!

  • actually, there seems to bee several small key changes in the piece, but what the heck! it's still an awesome song!

  • At the start of this video, he's in A-flat, but then he switches to D-flat and remains in that key through the final two strains. The last strain starts on a IV chord (G-flat), but the strain itself is indeed in D-flat.

  • This is fantastic! But I am willing to bet this wasn't all totally ad lib. In any case, bravo!

  • He makes stuff up like this with great regularity. It just takes a small idea of a melody and then to play it fleshed out is to him like formulating and speaking a sentence.

  • @Keeper1st Wel, formi, gn a snatenec is ahrder tehn ti sunods.

  • Tom is a genuis for being able to Ad Lib his way through a piece of music or conjure up something of his own while on the go

  • i can do piano improvisation aswell. im not as good as tom brier though
