@SecretService10 Unless you have some floating organization out in the sea, you are not an admiral, there are no units, there are divisions, brigades and such, and there is no "Squad Alpha" Squads have numbers, only a company can be an Alpha.
How much was the kit and do you need a license of any sort to fly this with only one person, no passengers. Well done I want to build my own helicopter but I am not sure of any special laws or what ever I need. Please reply. Thank you
@BYRONFGARClA No, but I interviewed a pilot of a similat aircraft and he was telling me about how small the engine was (the blister directly below the props) about the size of a standard car engine. The 'turbo' end of it creates all the power.
I think this helicopter crashed after it was sold. That would make it the 1000th Rotorway helicopter to have crashed in the last 15 years. Cheaper to headbutt an express train. Same result !!!
Whilst preparing to land at a private landing site the pilot noticed that the concrete landing pad had several loose branches on its surface. He decided instead to land the helicopter in an adjacent field of long grass. After landing, the collective was lowered fully and the pilot began the shutdown checks. The right skid sank rapidly into the surface, causing the helicopter to roll over onto its right side. Cause was dynamic rollover after the skid sank into a rut beneat the grass.
OMG!!! Kudos to you sir. You built that yourself? Excellent job !! I fly rc helicopters, and it was just pure nice watching you in the seat, makin' it happen.
Thank you for the comment but I'm not the builder. The only thing I fly is paper aeroplanes. Thought it would be nice to share with 'flying nuts' like myself.
