  • So this is perhaps an unfair question, but in the question of to MFA or not, how do you know if your initial sample/portfolio/GRE/other criteria is good enough? I picked up the Kealey handbook but it describes the programs more than the litmus test, if you catch my drift.

  • @mistacramer that is a hard call. i really wasn't sure when i started applying but i felt good about my manuscript which is the key part to applying. GRE score averages i'm sure you can find online. if you have writer friends who can read your writing sample for you that would be a great idea. or if you've published send something previously published :) - jessie

  • Giving yourself to just write is amazing isn't it? I might be into sharing some poems pretty soon. Feel fee to send something through the youtube mail or check out my blog listed in the info section :)

  • The best part of MFA for me was giving myself 2 years to do nothing but write. Writing community never worked for me, although I miss not having it. Want to share poems?
