  • maaan ... thats cool fish...but what cooler is ..the place where u keep it..is it natural cut or irrigation thing or a pond? how did u do that ?????? amazing looks very natural stream like

  • @mohsinmaqboolranjha

It's is a natural stream. That part of it, my neighbour has build a retaining wall from old concrete. The fish is wild and free to swim away any time it feels like it.

  • They are awesome creatures!

  • SHOOOOOOOT........ SHOOT IT SHOOT IT hell hit it with sumtin at least.. jesus no one has any fun no more...

  • longfin or short fin eel.

  • Is bread you are feeding with ?

  • @woyer86 - Bacon - everyone loves bacon :-)

  • @ianab Apart from vegetarians, but they like veggie bacon so its ok! :)

  • Next time, feed an electric eel lol

  • Does this one produce electricity? If so you should power your garden hose.

  • @luc59457 Nope -no electricity, so it's not the solution to the energy crisis :-(

  • @ianab Those electric ones could be, but animal activists will always have something to say about it, even if they use it in the wild, even if 80 percent of their body is devoted to this function. Heck If I had 80% of my body devoted to a certain function, I'd better like to use it, because it's the most I have.

  • @luc59457 electric eels are only found in south america its a fresh water one dude!

  • @dinorex2008 Make it Electric!

  • @ColdSideOfPillow136 A salamander is a lizard. Not an eel.

  • @Jakeequa lol a salamander is anything but a LIZARD. they are not related at all, salamanders are more closely related to frogs. some species have 2 or no legs and resemble eels.

  • How did I get from watching a video about earthquakes to lighting strikes... and now here? this does not intrest me at all.. now its too late to do anything else so im going to sleep :L

  • @kingofspinosaurids23 bottom ov your feel lol

  • @kingofspinosaurids23 im not quite sure but i THINK they live in water! :D

  • @kingofspinosaurids23 eels have very complicated lives and very mysterious ones too!! im no expert but they come into freshwater to feed before they go out to the sargasso sea where they breed. then they come all the way back inland agin up out rivers canals and into our lakes. they can travel across grass and dont have to b in water all the time, as sometimes they travel across fields to get to where they need to be.

  • lol was that Mr.Whippy i heard in the background??

  • is it a piece of bread? i have the orange one.. but its a wild eel.

  • probably a dumb question but, is that really wild or is it a family pet in a pond?

  • That's so cool!!! I wish I lived in New Zealand. We have nothing that cool in the stream in my back yard, infact, everything is dead back there...

  • is that a river? or do you have to fill it up with your hose or something??

  • Its a small stream, thats about as low as the water gets in summer. In heavy rain it may be 4 ft deep there. It connects up to a larger river and eventually the sea. Eels return to the sea to breed, then the young eels swim backup the rivers. This is about 30 miles from the sea.

  • cool, so im guessing you see alot of eels?

  • so is that eel trapped in ther? like did u close it off, or can it swim away?

  • Yes, it's a common wild NZ eel. They are normally shy and nocturnal, but if they are fed regularly they will come out during the day and eat.
