Sitting on the couch, wondering why I was practicing, I found this on Craigslist. I worried I didn't have the skills, I worried about looking like a dork on stage, etc. I finally decided what the hell and signed up. My group was a stockbroker, an IT guy, an architect, etc. Nothing in common but the music. Mike helped us choose songs, then fit them perfectly to what we could achieve. Each night of rehearsal was ear to ear grins and growing friendships. Practice at home had purpose. Do it!!!
These camps are great, you can really improve your chops in crunch time mode...learning 8-10 songs in 4 weeks is a challenge. Mike is awesome and makes things go easy.
Rock Camp for Dads was a fantastic experience. I HIGHLY recommend it. My skills improved significantly during the month-long series. Mike did a terrific job of welcoming and involving me even though my skills were less than average. RCFD is an outstanding organization.
