@gamefreak1756 the wire has an internal electrical resistance , and the battery acts as an source. So when the battery runs out of electricity (due to the wire resistance) the system will still go from inertia but will eventually come to a stop. If I'm wrong please explain the contrary.

@Hartiger well you're basically shorting out the battery so it will get really hot, don't run it for long periods of time.
