Apocolyps is the ONLY Marvel villain(next to Onslaught)that is so powerful, it takes damn near the entire cast of Marvel characters(hero AND villain)to even contain him. The psychics of the Marvel universe sealed him in the temperal crossroads, not sure if he was actually destroyed(this is ofcouse talking about the '90s cartoon). He just could not be killed.
apocalypse: the MAN who never got his due! this to me is the jaw dropping x-villain of marvel & cable's nightmare ! writers should never let him job & write him as the main villain behind a marvel event where he improves his form & shows earth what survival means! it'll be up to cable deadpool ,dr strange , rachel (the weinberg version not the crappy claremont rookie) & dr doom to confront him while the earth heroes fight the cataclysms he shall send!
@TomTheMop I recommend you read the Fatal Attractions storyline first and then read Apocalypse: The Twelve. Fatal Attractions had nothing to do with Apocalypse, but something very tragic happens to Wolverine that will later conclude in The Twelve. In The Twelve, you'll see why Apocalypse is so cool and how he has a huge impact on Wolverine's life. Of course, Apocalypse has a huge impact on many of the X-Mens' lives. If you want to start from his first appearance, then go with X-Factor.
Apocalypse or thanos would beat darkseid and they all look simuler ( it think apocalypse is a jack kirby creation like thanos and DS) grey skin and simuler head/face designs.....i wnat to see Apocalypse VS Thanos and darkseid (not both at once though that wouldent be fair)
@orochimaru5 Thanos would crush Apocalypse... As i believe the All Father would crush Apocalypse. Not saying Apocalypse is weak, he's just doesn't have the "OMG!" factor. Thanos would crush him though.

@orochimaru5 Wel lyeah but its arguable thanos is oon or around the level of the green scar hulk (sentry going all out wnet toe to toe with him and he whooped terrax who is nearly as powerful as surfer and thanos whoops hte silver surfer regulerly) its hard to say who would win...all i know is apocalypse would beat darkseid (Omega effect fails to kill superman and doomsday it aint killing A-man)
