I have a E46 M3 with a rotted subframe that BMW will not replace cause they are scaming people so they dont have to pay for thier mistakes. I would recommend NOT buying a BMW untill they show they have reinforced their subframes or you will have a $50k + paper weight like me.

well constant electronic and electrical failures like fuel pump, air conditioning fan , obc pixels, electrical windows will not open and close properly, electric seat adjustment buttons will fail to operate, climate control works very hard in summer times u can also terribly feel how a\c compressor tuns on\off , by mechanical parts are: steering rack , gears on rack and pinion get worn out so wheel performance goes very worse, trust arm bushing fukn low quality rubber, tie rods, wheel springs
wheel springs get pressed , u can notice them on rear wheels, tons of electric items get failed that help to run the engine, also vanos failed to operated properly even on new N52-54 engines, engine eats oil as a hungry croc, if gear box is GM-product that also very low quality and problematic ZF(german) gear box is fantastic, cheap plastics used for the car that is sold for the high price

All old cars to be sure, and all really reliable. But IF the engine breaks, I guess I have to throw them away because its worth more than the car to buy new.
BMW's are high quality products with a high intended use and life span. The product's designed life span is between 20 and 30 years, opposed to 5 to 10 years in most american cars. Sure things have to be replaced, but either you mentioned every car part you know, or you drove it into a pond. What a shitty engine 4.4 liter V8 with twin turbo and only 400 hp??? The Mercedes 5.5 Liter naturally aspirated V8 already produces almost 400 hp!!!! Just like that 335i engine 3.0L six cylinder twin turbo producing a paltry 300 horses compared to Lexus IS 350 engine 3.5 liter N/A V6 producing 306 hp!! No wonder why BMW gets bitch slapped in F1 or WTCC races!!! They suck!!!

i hope everyone here realizes that this is not new BWM. Why would German car maker test their latest models in the US. In a highways. Im sure BMW can afford to built its own test tracks in germany.
It's true, they are largely manufactured in the States. My understanding is that the engine is made in Germany, it is then shipped to Spartanburg in South Carolina where the rest of the car of put together. The US is their largest market so that's the reasoning behind it. There was a show on Discovery recently where they showed Z4 being made start to finish. It may be on you tube?
Hopefully, when they go into mass production, they'll keep the duct tape on the wing mirror motif. If it doesn't have duct tape slapped on in haphazzard fashion, then count me out.
I like how they lowered the roof. It makes the Chris Bangle design look a bit better. This re-design is really interesting. Let's just hope they fix the ugliness and I will once again aim for a beemer.

The M Model has Twin Exhaust, but the rest have two on the left side. (not Sporty) but the competitors, (Audi A6, Mercedes E Class, Lexus GS, Jaguar XF) all have duel exhaust. Its a first for BMW.

BMW is a low quality car, only it has fantastic design that is it, the life span ur talking about 20-30 years is not anyhow related to BMW is life is 1-2 years and after tons of problems, the only high quality car made in germany is Porsche-highest quality car, the only quality bmw were E34 wagon that produced up to 1995. I am gonna buy Lexus or infiniti far better than BMW

What a shitty engine 4.4 liter V8 with twin turbo and only 400 hp??? The Mercedes 5.5 Liter naturally aspirated V8 already produces almost 400 hp!!!! Just like that 335i engine 3.0L six cylinder twin turbo producing a paltry 300 horses compared to Lexus IS 350 engine 3.5 liter N/A V6 producing 306 hp!! No wonder why BMW gets bitch slapped in F1 or WTCC races!!! They suck!!!

i am working at BMW Dingolfing (biggest BMW all, 5, 5GT, 6 and 7 series are from there) and i know what is look like. But i am not allowed to say it to you, but the lights are looking much better than on this prototype. so dont be worry the F10 will be a perfect new 5er!! SRY for bad English greetz from bavaria

It's true, they are largely manufactured in the States. My understanding is that the engine is made in Germany, it is then shipped to Spartanburg in South Carolina where the rest of the car of put together. The US is their largest market so that's the reasoning behind it. There was a show on Discovery recently where they showed Z4 being made start to finish. It may be on you tube?

I like how they lowered the roof. It makes the Chris Bangle design look a bit better. This re-design is really interesting. Let's just hope they fix the ugliness and I will once again aim for a beemer.

The M Model has Twin Exhaust, but the rest have two on the left side. (not Sporty) but the competitors, (Audi A6, Mercedes E Class, Lexus GS, Jaguar XF) all have duel exhaust. Its a first for BMW.
