@KingsWorld2010 you missed the most important factor why usa attacked iraq. saddam hussein was strongly advocating for switching the currency used in oil transactions from the US dollar to the Euro, this would have destroyed american purchasing power when it came to oil, hence USA needed to make an example. As for the oil fields in Iraq,,, those were a really non existent factor in attack Iraq, however you are spot on about the arms deals, USA promised its allies in the campaign deals as well
