i think there is not much diff in terms of skills or playing abilities between Lin Dan and LCW. but what makes Lin Dan better than LCW are his self confidence and his mental toughness.
that's the differences between those two great players.
i hope LCW can get as many helps as he can to improve on his mental toughness and not succumb to pressure every time he plays Lin Dan.
I do hope LCW can improve on that aspect of his game, and show it at this year World Championships.

He fully deserves it, the mental toughness, focus and concentration is what separates Lin Dan from all the others, aside from his phenomenal skill. I can just imagine the pressure he was under to get Gold in his home Country. He's probably the greatest to play the game of all time.

If you play chess, and do say Tae Kwon do, as cross training you actually do get a hell of alot better. Coming from someone with a handful of gold medals from the game... personnally Im using this sport to bring me to a Jedi like state of being.
Badminton is not only a sport but also a test of an individual's: strength; agility; speed; critical thinking skills; sportsmanship; morality; mind control; discipline; confidence; and most of all... determination. Badminton is a combination of chess game and martial art, where i believe many sissy boys can do neither.

As for drugs, i am sure most of us do feel that it is unfair to dope. However if a person does it, then we shall wait till the medical report comes out and then determine if one really dopes or not. In addition, everyone knows that as the time goes by, more drugs are being used to improve their overall performance for the match. It really does not show that the player has sportmanship. Thus, this really shows one of the bane of life science.

LCW is my kampung folk neighbour. I admire his talent but up to 2nd tier standard only whereas Lin D is a class above others. by the way, gold with honours is the highest award that one can attain. If you think it is easy, please think again. In addition, perfecting a piece is not an easy task too. Even though it is an easy piece, the jugdes expect a higher standard from them. If it is a hard piece, just imagine how much time need to be spent to perfect the piece. Hard work does pays off. This applies to sports too. Nothing is impossibe so long as they have the will to persevere on.
For example, there is SYF (Singapore Youth Festival) in Singapore. It is a competition where all the performing arts group, such as chinese orchestra, compete for the best results. Just for your information, i am in Chinese orchestra and so i will use it as an example. I am not surprised if one particular chinese orchestra, which has attained silver during the 2006 SYF competition, suddenly attained a gold with honours next year.
However, we cannot forget that a miracle might occur. If a person is willing to work hard, his standard will definitely soar even to a greater height. Ultimately, i feel that the titles given to these players are subjected to change. I think you will understand what i mean. From these games, we obviously can see all those players' standards. However, we cannot speculate what will happen in the future as there is no concrete evidence yet.
The govt should award to only gold. Nothing for silver then i believe LCw will win. So much award, he has already grand on silver surely, what for paly so hard!!! The stupid weak knee man. As for drugs, i am sure most of us do feel that it is unfair to dope. However if a person does it, then we shall wait till the medical report comes out and then determine if one really dopes or not. In addition, everyone knows that as the time goes by, more drugs are being used to improve their overall performance for the match. It really does not show that the player has sportmanship. Thus, this really shows one of the bane of life science.

he was participating in an intensive army style badminton training in china! so he did not compete in a few tournaments!...hich is also why his rank has dropped to 2nd place...but still the best player for me!love his theatrics,style and agility of play!this dude is crazy

LD looks so different, movement faster, net shot improved, smash more powerful... woah transformation....like using drugs or something... if you watch the Swiss open this year, there was not so much different seperating them, but this Olympics woah...like Heaven and Hell hahaha...wonder can LD can keep this up and win all major opens he attends to play next season lol..

but eh, LCW kinda played bad... LD was really on fire... but LCW.... he didn't play his best... I was expecting some very close games but I think I was wrong... But then again... the whole crowd mustve been cheering for LD cuz its in China anyway lol

no way dude!!!..LIN DAN completely outclassed him!!!check lee's defence?and u can see he was playing well...but lin dan kept him guessing and followed up on smashes thats wat made the difference!all lee's games that he wins over lin dan are bcoz lin dan plays around with him...as in clearing and dropping and a smash once in a while...btw...lin dans head to head with lee chong wei is 11:4...

i know it is very hard to push to that standard of lin dan. what i am trying to say that if you cannot push your standard any further, then let it be. however, if it still can be pushed further, push it bit by bit. it is possibe to win him. all of us are human. we got our own weakness and one of them is human reaction time.

LCW is my kampung folk neighbour. I admire his talent but up to 2nd tier standard only whereas Lin D is a class above others. Even our own players Wong Chun Hann and LCW himself admitted so...and Peter Gade too.. so why can't we accept it and improve instead of trying to fool ourselves that LCW is the better player.

by the way, gold with honours is the highest award that one can attain. If you think it is easy, please think again. In addition, perfecting a piece is not an easy task too. Even though it is an easy piece, the jugdes expect a higher standard from them. If it is a hard piece, just imagine how much time need to be spent to perfect the piece. Hard work does pays off. This applies to sports too. Nothing is impossibe so long as they have the will to persevere on.

For example, there is SYF (Singapore Youth Festival) in Singapore. It is a competition where all the performing arts group, such as chinese orchestra, compete for the best results. Just for your information, i am in Chinese orchestra and so i will use it as an example. I am not surprised if one particular chinese orchestra, which has attained silver during the 2006 SYF competition, suddenly attained a gold with honours next year.

However, we cannot forget that a miracle might occur. If a person is willing to work hard, his standard will definitely soar even to a greater height. Ultimately, i feel that the titles given to these players are subjected to change. I think you will understand what i mean. From these games, we obviously can see all those players' standards. However, we cannot speculate what will happen in the future as there is no concrete evidence yet.

The govt should award to only gold. Nothing for silver then i believe LCw will win. So much award, he has already grand on silver surely, what for paly so hard!!! The stupid weak knee man. I feel so a shame. So a shame in the final. REmember our last win in Thomas Cup!! fight till the end!! Those are the ppl i admire. Aim higher!!...If Lcw go to war, we will lost. Well I'm a Malay girl from Malaysia. But whtv I'll support LCW Malaysia Boleh! No matter even any races you guys from we're all Malaysian. I'm proud to be Malaysian. LCW tried his best but maybe it's Lin Dan luck to shine. I'm also heratbroken at first but after 3 days the tournament over I accept this fate & think positive about his failure. & It's a lie if none of the badminton player failed. Example Lin Dan last time he also failed but he wake up from dreams
