These people are self serving cunts and they deserve to be outed. They wreck millions of peoples lives so who gives a shit if being outed wrecks theirs.
The people that oppose the film are so blatantly hiding something themselves its painful. Sure outing a private person is one thing, outing a politician who's agenda is to hold back the rights of gays and lesbians is completely different.
Fuckin' hell...."This is my private life, but here's what I think is better for the country.." What a dickhead, practice what you preach.
What the hell is Elisabeth's point? That you should be able to live your life and behave a certain way privately, but then act as a legislator in a completely opposite way? In other words, you're off fucking guys and dancing at gay clubs while demonizing gays and getting them booted out of the military?
i agree with whoopie and I agree with Sherry but still these people who are GAY are voting against their own community and that is wrong..I'm black and If i voted against black issues and I was GAY I deserve to get outed cause I'm a freaking hypocrite!
well... imagine this: A black politician painting himself white then voting against desegregation.... Would the argument of "voting his conscience" still be valid?
@egyboy67 - I understand your point but congressmen should be voting on the what their constituency wants, not what they want or along their own personal feelings. I think many people forget this.
@gombis666 - I disagree. Conscience is conscience. What if you have a constituency that wants to vote against a black and a white woman's right to marry? The fact that the majority wants it, does not make it right or constitutional. That's why the constitution and civil rights exist alongside democracy and voting; to intervene in the case of two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner, and protect minorities from majorities with social prejudices and/or religion-induced bigotry.
@egyboy67 - I agree that the rights of a minority is never to be put up for a vote by the majority. I have a broader feeling about this. The argument for the directors is on "hypocrisy" and not civil rights. All in all, I AM for outing. I disagree with these guys in that I find their argument disingenuous. Just say you're OUTING these people and not try and dress your argument up in "reporting." I think it's more powerful that way.

So now all gays must have the same political opinions? So much for diversity.

@alwalk21 You don't have to be a radical gay activist just because you are gay. Phyllis Schlafly's son John is an example.

@italoirish888 Just because you are gay doesn't mean you have to vote for gay marriage and everything else. Look at John Schalafly.
