  • I see the Mothership suffers from Great Fox Syndrome.

  • I just love the mechanics of Homeworld, when I see lots of mechanical stuff and blueprints, it ads a lot of realism to the game knowing that the ships are made of something else and not marshmallow!

  • i don't know much about star ships but coudent the mother ship you know like move to the side for crying out loud!

    or just hyperspace outa there?

  • nope, the engines for the mothership in single player are disabled (maybe because the engine was not done because scaffold was destroyed just before mission 3)

  • Yet the mothership takes off right at the start of the game, you can see the thrusters activate.

  • it was probably only able to use a short blast to launch free

  • @TrueTactics maybe the engines used too much fuel so after they just took off they ran out so maybe the scaffold was going to calibrate the engines to make em more fuel efficient but it was destroyed. thats my theory :)

  • Love the cutscene to this mission.

  • the song that plays when the asteroid appears is the same for the relic logo in dawn of war

  • The logo and soundtrack is identical for this game too.

  • HW was their first game.

  • you see, if this was hw2, the mothership could oh so cleverly move out of the way =o

  • XD That's what I was thinking; 'hm.... maybe we could move? I know this thing moves like my dead grandma, but it should be enough to throw off their aim.'

  • What? Oh No! A giant asteroid!!

Its the most ingenius diabolical plan yet!

  • @Unitronus DAMN YOU!! I WAS GOING TO SAY THAT!!

  • @SashaK1999 Then you should have posted that a year ago before mine.

  • @Unitronus yeah, will I couldn't find my homeworld game in such a long time, I found it in an old box in the basement. until then, I had no real reason to watch this walkthrough

  • Maybe the Taiidanii (sp?) are finally about to learn that...

    Brains > brawn.

Too bad that they're down to their last lines of defense though. Oh well. Better luck in the next interstellar war.

  • It is somewhat doubtful thats there last line of defence, especially noting the fact they have control of most the galaxy.

    Or had :D

  • headshot asteroid:Hit Points: 450,000.

    It's that powerful!

  • I salvaged a bunch of ion cannons (50+) from the previous mission. It didn't take long :P

  • Not to mention all those multibeam frigates you can swipe from the believers. heh.

  • yeah. what i like about this game is that its quite continuous. You don't have to build a base from scratch each level. instead you evolve sorta. and i think that initially Relics idea was to allow user to capture all ships on his way to the final level. I really cant imagine how would i finish the game if i would not capture all possible to capture ships throughout the mission line. If one capture all ion cannons and other ships this mission is a peace of cake.

  • thats such a cost effective idea for intergalactic wars!

  • :D still it proves to be remarkably difficult to kill for what it is.

  • @DimitrisKs the asteroid? duh. you have em in every star system. use a cheap salvage corvette and it should get her done
