Wow Demcad from the past. It's interesting to see this and Christmas is once again around the corner. I think this Christmas will be an awful year for retail this year. I think this year we will see just how bad the economy really is and that is why Target is lowering prices to an all time low for black Friday.
I agree, i think retailers are going to price their products so low, to make us buy, that they are not going to make ANY profits! This is called "deflation," where the consumer wins, but the small business fails.
ive been laidoff since october...i have rental properties that are 1/2 empty and the other half are late or behind...and things are unpleasently tight...i wont brorrow..im out of debt..but i wont spend either...xmas for my 2 kids is 100 dollars each...total xmas budget....half will be things they need anyhow...50 bucks for toys..they are 5 and seven so it easy...im glad they arnt teens...
i usually spend 3000 everyyear takes every check starting in oct,we will no longer do christmas ever,if have never felt so stress free in my damn life!IM FREE!!!
I loved your earlier suggestion of "Secret Santa". My family used to draw names when everyone became adults. I wish my stepkids would buy it. Maybe next year when they realize what time it is finacially. Stay warm & have good Christmas.

America is looking at a 15 to 20 year recovery
trajectory.
and the brunt of the sad news has not even come to light yet.
Money is tight credits cards maxed out
people out of work and a lot more will be joining them soon. 2009 will make 2008 look like a company picnic.
a tidal wave is coming in 2009
soup kitchens will go under
too many people will have nothing
Americans who have not prepared will find out in 2009 that Starvation is at their doorstep.
