  • I was thinking 80's, but I couldn't remember. Is this CD hard to find? I really want to buy it. I've been looking for it for 14 years. But I couldn't remember the name of the group. The rest of the cd is really good as well.

  • This actually was 1990. . . March 1990 to be exact. I remember watching this on TV. Good song.

  • MEMORY'S 4 ME BRO !!!!!

  • i cant believe i liked this.....

  • A loved this when i first seen it on TOTP..had the look already from listening to the Happy Mondays and Roses.

Psychadelic hooded top and bleached flares..superb

  • I'm from Canada, and I don't care for the States either, but to hold a whole country responsible for the actions of one mental case is just idiotic.

  • this dude is lip singing

  • or lip syncing?

  • lol this is so gay

  • The horror...... The horror

  • Will Candy Flip ever get back together or have a renunion tour or record another CD some time in the far off future?

  • Check out Sound 5 Ala Kabbo here on YT, and Soul Mekanik.. 2/3 of candy flip

  • I heard this track in the early 1990's and it is simply impressive. Now that I know the artist, I already ordered a copy on a CD. This is one of the must-have tracks, thanx nathanjayy.

  • buy the original.

  • it was a good song back when i was in middle school...but watching them perform is pure...flame...not that there is anything wrong with that...(a la seinfeld)

  • ...sure is pure...

  • Not that these guys are bad, but I don't think I've ever heard a Beatles/Lennon cover that's better than the original.

  • wouldve been okay.. if the guy would STOP DANCING... RIP LENNON

  • Didn't you yanks kill John? - Don't talk about him. You lost the right when your sick society shot him in the back.

  • I can talk about a musical legend who i admire a great deal whenever the fuck i want to you bastard

  • Just because an American killed John lennon doesn't mean their entire society had a hand in it, you prick. John Lennon was murdered by one man with severe mental problems, not an entire country.

  • this is fucking shit

  • shitt i work the the keyboard guy now lollllll

  • tell him he's a legend

  • takin me waaaay back to college at Ball State

  • hahahahaha candy flip....thats when you mix the lsd and the thizzle

  • hahahahaha candy flip....thats when you mix the lsd and the thizzle

  • I used to have a Smash Hits poster of these guys on my bedroom wall and still have this song on vinyl 45. Nice memory from March 1990.

  • John Lennon is rolling in his grave.

  • @evanraufbold Doubt it. I don't think he was as much of a hater as you are. ;)

  • @pyenapple He hated all of Paul McCartney's post-Beatles work. Seems plausible that he'd hate this abomination.

  • @evanraufbold He hated Paul's work because it was PAUL...and their relationship had grown incredibly bitter through conflict over the years. Just as he loved Yoko's music because it was Yoko and not because it was objectively brilliant. In regards to the Candy Flip cover, I really don't think he'd look upon something this obviously pop/disposable with anything more negative than ambivalence. He'd likely not give it any thought, really. "Rolling in his grave" is a tad ridiculous.

  • @pyenapple Evidently irony and sarcasm do not translate effectively on youtube comment pages. Good to know for future pointless arguments.

  • @evanraufbold I'm so glad you learned something. Also worth learning: when you post something inflammatory on one of the only existing places for a fan of some particular band to see said band's video, you're very, very, very likely to start yet another "pointless argument". FYI. ;)

  • @evanraufbold John is rockin´ the graveyard, wanna bet?? ;-)

  • Candy Flip went on to be Sound 5 (before becoming Soul Mekanik and doing Robbie Williams best ever album)

Check out Sound 5 on itunes/emusic etc, some wicked wicked tracks. Collect them all and impress your friends!

  • Early 90s were good times. :)

  • @DeepGarageHead Sure were. This particular song sums that time up for me anyway

  • Very gay!!!!!lol

  • how much were those hoodys in those days?

  • Many people might disagree but i prefer this to the original. Takes me back to when i was 17 when this came out. They were the days. Remember the phsycadelic hoodies that were out at the time lol.

  • I do agree.This is better!!

  • Very Much better!!! Reminiscing Junior's prom 91

  • @ustim i agrree i just wanked over that blonde one .. best version

  • back in the day

  • hell yeh, back in the day!!!!! listen to that shuffle beat, rrrretro!!! :) :)
