@jaffriali, Brother this part is when Heer was married to Kherra and she was to go inlaws in a Doli. Actually there are many versions of Heer in market. It is really hard to read real heer by Waris. Every body who edited this great epic of Punjabi added or omitted a part. Heer Waris is zenith of Punjabi poetry and asPunjabi boli and Punjabi lok are on this earth, it will survive. I tell U, if any Punjabi not stop on hearing Heer or feet do not dance on Dhol (drum) beat then he not real Punjabi.

Absolutely heavenly. I have goosebumps listening to this song. An immortal piece from the beloved Sufi saint Baba Waris Shah. And Lata as well as Asha beautifully project the nuances of Punjabi speech and idiom whenever they sing Punjabi songs.The poet-novelist Amrita Pritam invoked Waris Shah's lost legacy of love and goodwill in her moving lament "Aj akhaan Waris Shah Nu" on the massacres of Partition. It was used in the movie Pinjar( Skeletons) based on her work . Thanks, Sharmaji.
