  • CRYING MY EYES OUT.....

were playing a mixed and shortened version of a bunch of these songs in full orchestra and i cant play it without almost crying....... D':

  • People talk about Lily's Theme being sad, this theme is despressingly sad! I actually avoid listening to this become I know I'm going to burst out in tears but I really can't help it.

  • WHY do people always try to get best comments by quoting a line from the book??? ITS SO ANNOYING!!!!! *posts this comment*

    *posts another comment*

"He'll be fine. I know he will."

    *epicface*

  • uh.... crying...

this will forever be my childhood.

  • I wish I had the music from this movie for piano so bad D:

  • I laugh when I see everybody diying in every war films, I cry when I listen to this song.

This saga was my childhood's saga.

  • those who suffer from post-Potter depression cannot call themselves real fans. For to suffer from this syndrome, would mean that the magic has ended. As long as we remember the stories and they live in our hearts, Hogwarts will be there to welcome us home.

    Always.

  • a lot of harry potter soundtracks make me cry (buckbeak's flight, leaving hogwarts, dumbledore's farewell...) but this one makes me outright sob and bawl like a baby. this is the song of the end of harry potter, the end of the world... throughout this whole scene in the movie i was shaking my head frantically thinking "no no no this CAN'T just be the end, please god no!" but it is... even though i still have the books, i'm grieving :(

  • @bassetts1899 have you heard Lilly's theme? thats the one hat made me burst un tears..

  • Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.

  • @jessmazingful i wish i could give you a hundred thumbs up for that comment

  • this is definitely the track from the movie that I dislike the most, but its still pretty cool

  • A new beginning indeed! Happy New Year!

  • Happy New Year folks!!!

  • this is like the first time they left hogwarts!</3

  • Voldemort forgot to dislike this one =]

  • @mrrickstur I guess you reminded him to

  • My Childhood Has Officially Ended :')

  • Harry Potter is not only a story - all the characters, happenings are wrote down in our hearts until the moment we remember .. That's the real treasure - all the feelings, tears, laugh, everything what we went through thanks to that story ..

  • Goosebumps and tears but I'm as happy as ever. Like JKR said, Hogwarts is always there to welcome me home...I'm not to worried about saying goodbye :)

  • Lol there should be a book: Albus Potter and the Resurrection Stone

  • People are sad that Harry and his adventures are over and gone. But it's never really over. We grew up with these characters, and now we have to say goodbye to them, but for the next generation of readers the adventure is only just beginning. When I have children, I look forward to the day I can hand them my old copy of The Sorcerer's Stone and say "Here, why don't you visit with some old friends of mine?"

  • This music makes me think about this is farewell ='(

  • Deathly Hallows Part 2 easily wins the award for the best soundtrack of all HP films

  • Harry Potter will always be so much more than Twilight in every aspect ^^

  • @uallrite123 yes absolutley :-)

  • Harry Potter will always be so much more than Twilight ^^

  • yo they need to continue the legacy! their children! its in their blood! people its not the end its only the beginning if a new adventure!

  • Ok. I'm gonna be honest. The effects, the emotions, & the actions scenese were AMAZING!!! However, I think the story line could have been a LITTLE bit better throughout the second half. Idk about u all, but I kinda didn't like how throughout the movie they just showed the scene with Harry & everyone all grown up with their kids going on the train. However it was still good movie!!! & HP will ALWAYS be better then Twighlight!

  • This moment is, I think, one of the very best from the entire series of films. It's so beautifully directed, and I love seeing them just simply standing next to one another, a sort of visual testament to everything they've gone through, accomplished, and of how much they love and need one another. Chokes me up a little every time.

  • As much as I think this soundtrack did alright, I felt that the re-performance of Leaving Hogwarts in the final film absolutely ruined the film for me.

  • ranie251097, thank u for your comment... :*

  • this.fucking.song.describes.everything.in.harry.potter.and.how.beautiful.it.is.

we'll always remember it, we'll take these good memories with us to our graves.

  • what i love about the HP movies is that they pick the right songs to go with the scenes and all. Hogwarts Forever:D

  • I thought they did a lovely job with this moment in the movie! It was so touching; the three of them standing over the distruction of the day, looking into a new era. One that, unfortunately, we fans will never get to truly experience... You could tell, though, that the three of them weren't acting-not really at least. It was an incredilby personal moment for all of them, and it definitely had me sobbing like a baby. It's hard to believe that the series is truly done. WRITE MORE J.K. ROWLING!

  • I'm a relatively new fan, but this still made me ache a little.

It makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time.

  • I want to die to this song.

  • I didn't grew up THAT much with HP (i've only grew up watching the first two sequels) but i (still) think i felt that sense of nostalga that every other fan felted watching this movie.

  • I know this is the official ending soundtrack for the entire series. However, I recommend a small modification, or addition for you listeners. After listening to this soundtrack, please listen to "Reunion of the Friends John Williams." Place this music with the ending scene in your mind, and it all feels like it comes full circle in its most musically satisfying, and emotional power. It brings streams of tears, joy and happiness to know I can end this series on an awe inspiring theme.

  • I wish John Williams had got to do the soundtrack for this film too :/ but this is still goooooood :)

  • @ImMclovinMuse

I think he made the music when everyone greeted Harry in Hogwarts, the music in King's Cross and the songs in the credits.

  • "I've had enough trouble for a lifetime..."

  • Dear J.K, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Snape...I LOVE YOU. I love all of the rest of you too. YOu have made my life complete. This song is like....harry potter is over. And sure, as sad as I am that it will never continue, it will live in my heart forever <3 I will read the books over and over again year after year, as I have been, and someday to my children, and my grandchildren. I love you Harry Potter <3 Thank you.

  • @ilovecoldplay32094 Hear, hear!

  • Harry Potter wasn't just a story, but a legend and I am so happy to have had the privilege to grow up with it.

Harry Potter might be gone but it will never be forgotten.

Thanks for one hell of a childhood ϟ

  • I am crying!! Harry was my savior from this horrid world!!

  • You're Harry Freaking Potter! Thak you!

  • The Harry Potter Chronicles were the first books i ever read, and I shall never forget them. Thumbs up if they changed your life for the better.

  • @manofsteam1 Chronicles?

  • @horaciosi idk, just a way to make the series sound even more epic.

  • Thank you Harry Potter.

  • The legacy of Harry Potter will never be over.

It will only end when there are none left loyal to it.

  • 0:52 - the camera zooming into their faces-

    OMG I CRIEDDDDD

  • I broke down crying, I am not over it. I will never really be over it I suppose. Thank you. And always. But this is not really goodbye.

  • Harry Potter is not going away...not really :)

  • 0:09: Harry snapping the elder wand in half :)

  • im not gonna cry too late ....

  • thumbs up if you want Alexandre Desplat get the Best Soundtrack Oscar!

(sorry for the english, hope you understand!) xD

  • @Monychan093 If John Williams couldnt, why Desplat?

  • @Uru19861 Williams was good, but Alexandre Desplat composed the last Harry Potter soundtrack. As it happened in Lord Of The Rings - Return of the King: it won Oscars because was the last movie of a Saga, and I think that will be the same thing on Harry Potter. I explain my theory the best that I can.

  • @Monychan093 I'm English and I understand very much! This is one of the best soundtrack I have ever heard. Thank you Alexandre Desplat!

  • @Monychan093 is this nominated??

  • "The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well."

  • @DistantDreamer93 Is that a quote from the book?

  • @horaciosi

It sure is! Those are the last words in the book. :D

  • @horaciosi yup, the last two sentences we will ever read in a Harry Potter book.

  • All was well.

  • it all ends... after 10 years. thank you Joanne for doing this...

  • I thought it was really cute how Ron and Hermione were holding hands when they entered the Great Hall and Harry smiles at them knowing they are finally together.

  • @Saadya7 damnit i dont remember that part now i have to see the movie again. can't believe i've only seen it once.

  • its true a new beggining for dan.rupert and emma cause now tey have to open the doors to a new beggining with harry.ron and hermione

  • @lolo4lol

    No. It doesn't.

  • *sob sob sob sob sob sob sob~~~*

  • Oh the pain, the sadness that lingers....how can it ever go away?? :(

  • I can't believe its over *lip wobble* :(

  • Mischief Managed!

  • I SERIOUSLY CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S OVER! AND IF THE FANS ARE THIS SAD< THINK ABOUT DANIEL EMMA AND RUPERT

  • It's like a moment of remembering. Remembering the happy and sad times, when we first found out harry was a wizard, meeting ron and hermione and all the other witches and wizards. When Dumbledore, Snape, Fred, Tonks and Remus and everyone else who died. But also that the whole pain and suffering is over, and they can all grow up and their children will happily grow up as well. It's a moment of sadness, but joy as well. What a wonderful childhood I had. Thank you.

  • @ranie251097 Well said! But it hurts... :(

  • Well done Harry, mischief managed.

  • never thought that music has such powers the magical movie the magical music hp love you extremely...

  • They bring back that first feeling you got at the end of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

  • this song makes me cry

  • Albus Severus Potter <3

  • This song reminds me of them when they were younger.......

    :'(

  • Goodbye Harry, Ron, and Hermione. You were in my childhood since the very beginning. I grew up with you. I'll never forget the impact Harry Potter had on my life, and this is not the end at all. Harry will live on forever. I know this isn't the final goodbye. ♥

  • Harry and his friends' kids will all be great witches and wizards.... :')

  • It's the end :(

  • Started crying at 0:51 because it just sounded like it's ending... :'(

  • I cry everytime i hear this song. I cant help it. Im in tears right now

  • The best song to end with, so simple and sweet. Not too much but enough to make you smile.

  • I can't hear this music without crying my eyes out. It reminds me of when they panned out to Harry, Hermione, and Ron holding hands at the end of the battle. But even the score itself makes me extremely emotional. It has sadness, hope, and childhood wrapped up into one, kind of like the movie itself. Well done, Mr. Desplat.

  • @FSUtheatre i agree with you... this song made me cry.

  • @TeamEdwardJacob44 everyone laughed so hard at that

    lol

  • my childhood just ended. I am suffering from postpotter depression! :(

  • I had stopped crying for the epilogue when I originally saw it, but when this started playing I immediately started to sob :P

  • This is were it really hit me, that it's really the end. After this played I think we all wispered a "I'll miss u Harry." at the end of the movie.

  • very beutiful

  • 00:56 the tears came out of my eyes

  • Harry and Cho kiss? It's the same song!

  • @Kathax1 Its not, this is from DH2 thats from OOTP

  • There was a simultaneous "Yes!" in the theatre when it said 19 years later on the screen. XD

  • @dolphinlover546 because it was said that 19 years later wouldn't appear in the movie

  • @dolphinlover546 ik, I was one of them :3

  • @dolphinlover546 yeah xD where I was too a man/boy was like "YES!" and everyone laughed :')

  • I'm not going home, not really

  • 0:35 sounds like dobb'ys farewell.

  • everytime i watch or read the ending i always have to hold back tears because its the end of an epic adventure... i wanna know what harry is up to till he actually DIES

  • What's the music that's SOOO nostalgic at the end of the 8th movie, at the station??

    Someone please reply!

  • @scruffylittledog Leaving Hogwarts or Reunion of Friends.

  • @scruffylittledog it's "Leaving Hogwarts"

  • thumbs up if you went through and listened to all 25 tracks!

  • Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home. -J.K. Rowling:)

  • Harry, Ron and Hermione have always been and will always be some of the greatest friends I have ever known. To grow up with them, and be there through every adventure they've had has been an incredible experience. I genuinely hope that when the Potterheads have kids of their own, they will become the new Harry Potter generation, and will continue on with the adventures. They'll watch the movies and read the books like we did, and JKR's epic tale will live on. Long live the Boy Who Lived.

  • "The scar had not pained Harry for 19 years. All was well."

    :')

  • Amazing you are!! thank you so much for taking the time and effort to upload the soundtrack :) simply briliant music

  • Watching the three of them holding hands was amazing. You can tell they are going to be friends forever and all of that, but there is this look on their faces like "Now what?" There's a tremendous feeling of uncertainty about the future. This music makes it.

  • It makes me really sad that its over and this beautiful piece of music just makes it even harder to let go. Makes me feel alittle empty. I hate goodbyes. Makes me look back on everything and all they went through. And thinking about how they're older and their kids have NO idea what they went through many years ago. And now they're are just normal 37 yr old parents with a past. One of the sadest things I'll ever know. Fiction or not. A tear sheds :'(

  • i've never cried so hard for a movie. The combination of this song, seeing Harry, Hermione, and Ron's faces for the last time, and knowing my childhood is over MADE ME BAWL!

  • Harry Potter, the magical boy wizard turned hero....We watched him grow up, fall in love and most of all..Discover who He really was. Time to say goodbye to a generation that will never be Forgotten...

So Long, Harry Potter...the dreams you brought to others will live on forever.

Alas, The perfect ending...to the story of our beloved boy wizard...

    ~Harry James Potter~

  • @lolo4lol That might've been what he was going for.

  • Still in emotional mode from this movie/book/series/era. This song makes me so sad.

  • The perfect way to end the series.

  • Long live the Potter Generation. Now...time to start reading all the books again!

"Mr and Mrs Dursley of No.4 Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much..."

  • very pretty getting this song on itunes

  • I started tearing up at 0:53.... IT'S OVER! ;;

  • you're amazing! thanks for putting up the entire soundtrack!

  • Goodbye Harry Potter

  • They should have put Leaving Hogwarts on this album. I know it's not Desplat's work and I know it's on the first one, but I was so happy they used that music.

  • It's so sad and happy at the same time! You know, when I finnished the book and read the last words, I couldn't say anything. I was very quiet for a long time and then I cried. I'm gonna cry very much tomorrow(when I watch the film)!! Thums up if you experienced the same thing as me after reading the book and is going to weep very much at the cinema.

  • Es la Celesta del tema de Heg!!!!

  • 0:33 is where i start crying every time i hear this song :'(

  • @dramaqueen1093 Yeah me too :(

  • I wish they would have used pieces from Reunion of Friends from Chamber of Secrets soundtrack. Of the first 7 films, Chamber of Secrets had the best ending and most emotional one.

  • @MovieMentality music-wise or film-wise? Because that bit with Hagrid is possibly the worst moment out of all the films =P

  • 1:28 queue 'Leaving Hogwarts'.

    Perfect ending is perfect.

  • I really hope that they include 'Leaving Hogwarts' or atleast 'Hedwigs theme' in the epilouge! That would be the most amazing and beautiful way to end the series...

  • @xxlulabelle123xx They did and it was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. :)

  • @AineHawkins I know, i've seen the film twice already, and i cry each time i hear the start of 'Leaving Hogwarts' in the Epilogue :'(

  • @xxlulabelle123xx I know. It's so nostalgic. >.<

  • @xxlulabelle123xx They did it!!! I cried a lot at the epilogue... and the end credits have "Hedwig's Theme"!!!

  • @jaguero92 I know, i've seen the film twice already, and i cry each time i hear the start of 'Leaving Hogwarts' in the Epilogue :'(

  • the epilogue
