What precedence has their been set for a God? We live on a planet that sustains life which gives the precedent that it can happen, so why not again. Why again? Becuase as low the chance, there are billions of stars, each with the chance of being a life-sustaining planet's sun. Whether we see it or not has no impact on its existance. And definitions of God range in such vast ways. A UFO has one definition. Something flying in the sky that can not be identified. Define God.
According physics nothing can travel faster than light. And because of the low chance (like you said) the distance to the next inhabitable planet is probably much more than a thousand lightyears away. Perhaps there is some technology that would solve this problem but currently I see the chance of extraterrestrial visitors extremely small.
Because a god would exist outside our known phsyical laws it is difficult to impossible to calculate the probabilty of its existence.

If one day aliens attack Earth then I will have been naive. But, that's not going to happen. That would be to say that we know what the hell UFOs even are. The SETI community likes to think they're little E.T.s, but that's just conjecture. There is absolutely zero proof that the well documented flying phenomena are visitors from another planet. It's much more likely we're witnessing advanced government/private technology at its best. People tend to hope UFOs are aliens just because we don't like feeling that we're alone in the universe. Ironical, considering the purpose of religion.

A little late I know... but doesn't the bible affirm that God only made life here on earth? According to the bible God created the heavens and the earth, then he created the beasts, and then man in his own image. There is no mention of the creation of life anywhere other then earth. So a true believer of the bible could not believe in life outside of earth (not to doubt your faith - just going by what most evangelicals would say about this).

Actually that is not what he meant you FOX news fuck-ups. He was claiming that Mary had sex in order to have Jesus. That is not saying that he doesn't believe in Jesus. He existed. But it is impossible to get a baby without a male and female. He was saying that he does not believe in the religious fairytales. The point of this clip is less about what was or wasn't said, it is a blooper because of how unprofessionally the reporting and presentation was. It took 3times as much time to present the material because the techs were blowing it (no clip, wrong order of the quote, poor timing) and she didn't handle it too gracefully either.

But the conclusion (the chance of a UFO is more likely than there is a god) is pure bullshit! If they would have seen his other shows they would know that he believes in a god but not the bible-version of it and he support Jesus as role-model but not as historic fact.
And by the way: I'm not judging his opionion. (Neither pro nor con) I'm just reporting. Something Fox SHOULD actually do.

What precedence has their been set for a God? We live on a planet that sustains life which gives the precedent that it can happen, so why not again. Why again? Becuase as low the chance, there are billions of stars, each with the chance of being a life-sustaining planet's sun. Whether we see it or not has no impact on its existance. And definitions of God range in such vast ways. A UFO has one definition. Something flying in the sky that can not be identified. Define God.

According physics nothing can travel faster than light. And because of the low chance (like you said) the distance to the next inhabitable planet is probably much more than a thousand lightyears away. Perhaps there is some technology that would solve this problem but currently I see the chance of extraterrestrial visitors extremely small.
Because a god would exist outside our known phsyical laws it is difficult to impossible to calculate the probabilty of its existence.
