Why does everyone hate the divas of today? I'm not telling that it's a bad thing, but, we got to move on, i know the divas section is really short! but sometimes we got to move on, Trish left the wwe, i was so sad, :( It's hard to think that women wrestlers of today are not so strong, unlike Mae young, She Challenged lay-cool for a match even if she is old, But Divas like, Melina, Gail Kim, Alicia Fox and Beth

We can take this as far back as we want. All the way back to Moolah, Kai, Sherri, Medusa, Luna, but in my opinion the era finally ended once and for all when Trish & Lita left. Kelly, Mickie, Michelle, Layla, Maryse, none of them will ever be in the same league as those names.

@Paul8820 I do not understand why people keep saying Lita and Trish were the best? Lita was dangerous in the ring and often botched her moves and Trish was highly overrated. Trish was average at best and I didn't see anything special about her.

Michelle is the present and future, this woman has accomplished more than Trish and Lita combined so I think you people should get with the program and see how talented Michelle McCool is. Thanks.

Hold up guys, I admit that women's wrestling did take a bad turn once Trish and Lita retired and usually I flipped the channel when they came on. But with girls like Beth, Mickie, Natayla, Gail Kim, Michelle McCool in WWE and Tara, Kong, ODB and Taylor Wilde in TNA I think with a little more training their could be another surge in the women's division.

Ive noticed that there has been a surge in the womens divison like for example there is actual matches (instead of bikini contests and pillow fights) also there is even a new belt (divas cahmp) in the wwe. I think with the right people used, it could be another golden era

Natalya. It's going to be her time to shine and we're already seeing that with The Hart Dynasty.

Gail Kim from the Golden Era is still fresh and still is the future aswell.

Alicia Fox has amazing skills, at first i thought she was horrible but she proved me so wrong as she can sell a move perfectly.

Lastly, Maryse is still going to be the future regardless of how badly she sux in the ring, she still garners ratings and sells money, like Sunny or Sable did.

Thats the thing, Maryse doesn't have the merchandise deal Sable had to bring money in. Maryse recently just got an action figure and a poster and thats it. Sable had tshirts, many toys, posters, PPV advertisements, Playboy, WWF magazine covers and a load of other stuff. I highly doubt if McMahon would allow any current woman to come close to what he gave Sable.
