  • they could have picked a way better artist to do a new piece on. this dude is mediocre. that ali looked alright though

  • Banksy FTW!

  • This dude is straight up retarded

  • good 4 him tho, thats awesome

  • INCREDIBLE

  • Nice Work James.... If You Like Young Talented artist Like This, Search and see "K-Dubb Man Among Boys".

    Then Sub And Fav

  • whats the name of the song at the beginning?

    thx

  • whats the name of the song at the beginning

    thx

  • @cresmoney 2008...Actually graffiti started in Chauvet about 32,000 years ago.

  • niggas the mane

  • it should be respected and is an art form but when its on puplic property it shouldnt get respected and neither should the artist ...to get respect you have to give it and there not respecting so therefore ...you get it ...just do it on canvases and things like that ...it really amazes me how they do that! i LOOOVE GRAFFITI

  • I greatly respect ARTISTs but in my opinion they shouldn't deface public property. You respet it people respectyour work. (CA and Vegas have a lot of people that do their work on canvas.)

  • public property is being designed to suppress the mind and imagination especially in urban areas. More and more only the privileged live in bright colorful, artists surroundings. These artist are not criminals, they are revolutionists.

  • The problem is the public view towards graffiti. Many people think all graffiti is gang related, which makes them feel more safe. Also, imagine if you had a dream business and then someone spray painted all over it. It would hurt business, and you would have to pay HUNDREDS of dollars to get it fixed. I just think it should be done on canvas so people know itsan art and don't think its just vandalism.

  • I got into graffiti and it put me through college, If i never spent time on the streets bombing I wouldnt be where I am today. You cant tell some kid to go write his art on a canvass, thats the same as telling a football player to go play football in his back yard. We express ourselves on the street because we are controlling the landscape. You dont know the feeling of driving past your piece out in public that is why you can not understand it.

  • Amen brutha...no one truly understands the spiritual bliss of seeing your piece on a wall or what ever

  • this is cool.

  • it would be good except it started in philly not newyork

  • what a sell out.

    stay up keep bombin'

don't sell out like this dude though.

  • seen his harlem pieces.. pretty sick shit.

  • american graffiti isnt good??you never herd or YNN?

  • American graffiti isn't as good in my opinion as ones you see in Europe, where it's more diverse and creative.

  • Get off the jock you toy, we started this.

  • why not a college grad or lawyer. why not?

  • sure its not the best way but can you tell me a better way to get your at work shown than putting it out in the public eye when there aren't any other public outlets?

  • look for store owners who's willing to pay to get a mural to make his business out?

Take an art class in a community college?

Go to a library, make his art on a computer, put it on his myspace?

Make art on a paper close by the pier so he can sell them?

There's a lot of "public outlets" unless you only define them as the buildings around your house. I dont like Graffiti because it invites people with no talent to write sh*t on the wall. As good as some of them maybe a lot more just suck.

  • Sekran suck a dick............ What would u rather look at some old ass fucked up building wall or graffiti art.........

  • That's the spirit!

  • why are white people mad because they lack TALENT...?

  • ass

  • yes i like ass... Ass

  • nice! you're an asshole AND stupid

  • STOP MY FEELINGS ARE HURT

  • i dont care how good you think it look

    its criminal damage

    and somebody else's property

nothing gives you cunts the right to deface it

go out and buy your own building then you can paint your shit all over it.

  • dude he grew up in the fukin projects...he didnt have paper or equipment to fukin do it on paper or some shit...it was the only art he could do dipshit

  • If he could afford to buy two or three cans of spray paint, he could also afford to buy a sketchbook and some pencils.

  • well thats where your fuckin retarded... YOU DON'T BUY CANS YOU STEAL THEM, obviously if he had the cash to buy them he wouldn't be in such a struggle that he was faced with.

Keep the Paint flowin, graffiti will ALWAYS be here, weather it be from Egyptians long ago, to a Local artist today.. it will always be around and it is Art no matter what you people don't understand repeat in your hallow heads when you call up vandal squad.. Hope4. signing out. Stay up artists don't listen to them

  • Great. So not only was he defacing private/public property, he's also causing financial hardship to others by stealing. Someone has to pay for the paint he stole. Also, you would think that stealing a pencil and sketch pad would be much easier than stealing a can of spray paint. It's also much less expensive, so the store owner doesn't have to work as hard to make up for his selfishness and dishonesty.

  • but a pencil and sketch pad arent used for graffiti arent you even listening to this fuckin video? graffiti was their outlet instead of gangs etc.

  • Art was his outlet, not graffiti. He could have found a way to express himself that didn't involve theft and defacing other people's property.

  • If ur gonna come on here n run ur mouth, dont fukkin watch graff related vids. im fukkin sikk of u faggots always talkin shit n dont kno dik about wat the fuk ur sayin..fuck u spudshitbrain

  • I have just as much of a right to express my opinion as anyone else, Prozpekt. And for someone who's defending a graffiti artist's freedom of expression, you aren't very tolerant to other viewpoints. Maybe you would appreciate my opinions more if I went to your house and spraypainted them all over your walls. Would that make it alright for you? Oh, and mispelling words may look cool in graffiti, but everywhere else it just makes you look dumb. I just thought that you should know.

  • are you stupid?

  • No. Are you?

  • graff is not about writin on peoples houses...thats wat gives it the bad name..for u to do that would be the true act of vandalism..its not graff...n u understood wat i was sayin, so does it matter how i spell my words?...

  • am i not allowed to my opinion on hating haters???

  • Sure. And I'm allowed to respond to your hateful and intolerant comments, too.

  • spudmustang, we dont do graff in other peoples house fuck sake, unless they wanted me to, your not getting it youl never understand it unless your a writer yourself

  • That's funny because, interestingly enough, not once have I had someone knock on my door and say "Hello, Sir! I'm here to scrawl my name all over your fence and garage. Would that be alright with you?" And yet there it is! And it's all over the bridges and overpasses, too. I don't remember anyone being commissioned to do spray-paint misspelled words there, either. Hmmmm. And I am a writer/artist. I just choose to express myself in a way that doesn't harm or destroy other people's property.

  • then you not a writer...not a graff writer anyway, and i ment unless the wanted me to if they wanted me to do like some artwork, say a mural on a canvas for them or one of their walls

  • The majority of graffiti isn't a mural on canvas, it's some profanity or name on a fence, bridge, or other public place.

  • so? i think the shit your talking about is gang names and some little kids write there names so they can think there bad ass. thats what gives us ARTISTS the bad name and people think were always out there to fuck up peoples houses and assualt members of the public...thats not true. anyways why dont you just leave us be? you have no right to judge us for our way of expressing ourselves, when you dont even know us. i did an essay on graffiti for my english exam last year, il mail it to you.

  • So you can deface public and private property, and that's OK. But because I don't approve of it, I'm the bad guy? I don't think so. Why don't YOU just leave us be? You have no right to spray-paint your "art" all over our property. I don't have to know you to get angry about someone who ruins other people's property just to express themselves. And once again, if you're an artist then do your art on a canvas. Or at least get permission before you spray-paint the side of someone's building.

  • i dont deface peoples businesses, thats stupid. and i do my work on canvases.....sometimes. but youve gotta understand its the illegality of graffiti that attracts artists to get there message/name up, how bout we just call it even now eh? you can have your opinion i have mine? ok?

  • spudmustang ...why do people like you always care about the spelling? i mean lmfao, who gives a shit, as long as it looks good, and you aint hurtin anybody, except the council/governments bag of cash, they should should spend the cleanup money on somethin else (hospitals & schools for example) i mean do you think that i dont know what im doing is illegal? its my choice and thats the way i express myself and get a kick out of life :)

  • Yes, it is hurting somebody. It hurts the taxpayers who have to pay to have it cleaned up. It hurts homeowners who suffer a loss in property value. It hurts businesses that suffer a loss in customers who prefer to go somewhere else because their store has profanities and gang signs spray-painted all over it. If you want to express yourself, that's great. Just spray-paint your own property or on a canvas. If people like it, they'll buy it and hang it on their wall. Otherwise, keep it to yourself.

  • a wall will fall but art is timeless

  • and who said it was for u bommbing isnt for people like u average nobody yuppies its for use the ones who understand it ur house will fall apart oneday but my name will never die

  • hey man. look it is destroying property too an extent but without it alot of kids i have met in my youth. would have been in too far worse things. people preech eco-freindly products but yet they drive a car to work and polute the enviroment. in other words who gives a fuck man.

  • If he's going to steal, then why not steal some papers and markers? It should be easier too cuz they dont lock up papers and markers like pray cans.

  • yeah he could buy a sketchbook and pencils...but that ISNT GRAFFITI. obviously

  • That's the point.

  • @rochjordan ummm spray paint is way more expensive

  • Cool!

  • nigger art

  • you are sorely mistaken...

  • wish we had something ANYTHING like that here in OK city....

  • StompDowns ran by sum of my home boys n they got better work

    goto stompdown . ca

or else check em out on youtube

  • graf artist, Si. taggers, No.

  • When you live on concrete with nothing but dirty brick buildings growing from it and grimy trains running through it, what is there to appreciate? Graf actualy made things nice. There were no galleries or schools for poor kids. It's harder to appreciate for someone looking at this though the lens of privilidge.

StuckMic, when you have a kid with artitist talent living in their comfortable little world, you should HOPE they are as driven as people like Jee or else it's all a waste.

  • This man has a real talent. It's a shame that artists like James Top are not as appreciated in the community as painters.

  • people are so dumb like this is the first dude to become legal.. theres been hundreds of writers who became legal writers for good

  • FUCK!

    THIS NIGGA GOOD!!!

  • THATS WHAT GRAFFITI ARTIST SHOULD STRIVE FOR.F*** THE COPS GET UP AN SPREAD THE MESSAGE,I DO IT FOR THE KIDS IN THE BACK SEAT LISTENING 2 LAME PARENT MUSIC, SOLO THE KING NFO DTL VIGz GET UP.

  • Unless he owns the walls he's spray painting, it's a crime. Period.

  • i would say graffiti prevents real dangerous crimes

  • So you wouldn't mind if i sprayed the outside of your car? Cool.

  • How about I spray your face with jizz?

  • Wonderful point, StuckMic

  • I sure as hell woundn't want someone tagging my car and saying "It's art!"

  • I love to look at graffiti. Its such a talent.

I tried to get a gang in our town to join our youth group and all work on painting garbage cans and selling them. The gang of kids were so shocked at the offer they stopped the graffiti.

  • Now... don't know about u guys, but I hate people taggin my door with red paint :|
