  • I am about to buy an electric drum kit, would you recommend the Alesis dm10 or the Yamaha DTX 500?

  • @mehcustom24

I have always found Yamaha drum kits to be more reliable with a better build quality. I would definitely recommend the DTX500 kit. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.

  • Hello, I bought the DTX 500. I also bought a MIDI to USB cable and I plugged it but It seems my computer doesn't play sounds as if it didn't recognize it. Help me please.

  • thanks

  • can this drum set fit a double pedal

  • @bestboarder123

Yes, the DTX500K kit tower is wide enough to accommodate a double beater pedal. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.

  • which kit is that on 5:40 ?

  • How did you do the drum cover

  • Spectacular demo. I'm having problems with keeping my hi hat closed. Can you tell me how to make it less sensitive?

  • Yamaha's cymbal sound is really improving, much better the the dtxplorer

  • Hi there, great review

Last year i purchased a Yamaha DTXplorer i am very very happy with the kit. Looking at these new features a really want to get this apdated module. Is there anyway i can just purchase the module to use my old kit.

    Thanks

  • I'm getting one for Christmas!:P

  • I think I'll ask for this for Christmas. I've wanted a kit for years now.

  • Can you put a baas drum sound on the hi hat pedal?

  • @stickininmyeye93 yes you can, you can change it to any kit sound in the module

  • Amazing demo of the drum kit. I just ordered this recently, but am wondering how I can record the tracks I play onto my computer. It's great that I can record it on the module and play it back, but how can I play it back onto my computer? Any help would be appreciated. I'm confused about the MIDI output. Thank you so much.

  • @HeadBanger32894

Hi, glad you enjoyed our demo. You have two options...you can record audio or midi. By taking the audio outputs of the module and connecting to the inputs of your computer's sound card, you can record your performance. The MIDI out would allow you to send MIDI note data to a sequencer or drum program. However, you won't be able to play back into the module..no MIDI input. Feel free to contact me with any other questions.

Great demo as usual. Keep up the good work.

  • So if connected to a DAW the pads could be assigned to a software kit or a piano roll with samples on it? Thanks alot :)

  • @Brainbox97

Yes, using the MIDI out port on the DTX500 would allow you to control any software instrument or trigger samples from your DAW. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. Thanks for watching!
