May I ask a Q. Please? What is, or was the purpose in grafting two Banana trees together? Is it a male female thing, or a cross breading of two types of Bananas to create a new flavor of Banana?

@Allonjr . I live in a cold region of the world and no edible banana can resist the cold climate. Fortunately, we have a wild banana that does not die during the winter.

I am trying to cross-breed them so I can a have strong cold hardy edible banana variety, which most people believe it is not possible.

And the point of this is?  If you know what grafting is for, then you know this was a complete waste of time. That's 7 minutes of my life that I will never get back.
