It's also possible to buy two or more pairs of socks that are the same. I can't say I like the look of intentionally mismatched socks.

No. . it IS strange, and it's NOT brilliant. This is the silliest thing I've seen in a while. If you want your kids looking like the circus clowns with all mismatched clothes, knock yourselves out. This is more a statement on laziness than it is a message of non-conformity. "Creative and practical"? Puhhhleeease.
