crysis is better technically but i love the gameplay of far cry 2
far cry 2 is defenetly my favoirite game on any system right now.
when i play crysis at maximum settings i get about 27fps pretty steady, when i play far cry 2 at maximum settings the fps can go over 100 and drop down to 30. since i play with low resulution(1080*1920) i don't care that much about how demanding the game is..
@Uberslime no thats wrong. some high end monitors offers 2560*1600 resultion, with multiple monitors you can go even higher. i didn't wan't to spend that much money on a monitor so i bought a 1920*1080tn benq monitor. 1080p is absulute max on ps3/360 while 720p is standard.
one thing i definetly noticed is that in the begining part when he shoots the bukkie with the rpg you would most likely have taken a lot of dameage as that bullbar hit him

I'm not so sure lol I'm not an expert at computer specs but I'm trying to see what good parts i can get to last me some years to play these kinds of games before at least around 2014-15, i think the vid card I'm going to get is about 1GB. I think what I'm planning on is more of AMD. I'm not really into powerful stuff like Nvidia. just efficient parts like ATI doesn't use as much power as Nvidia for example

@cstrikeris the first far cry was produced by crytek on the cryengine 1 and farcry 2 ran on crytek's cryengine 2, same as crysis. while crytek may not have been a game "developer" on this game they still own rights to it, the name, the characters,and they probably even made most of the levels because ubisoft didnt own cryengine 2 or the editor program. trust me, stop now because i will win.
Crysis looks better... but I think Far Cry 2 looks more real in the sense you might see something similar to something from Far Cry 2 but not Crysis. Crysis is all bright colours and crazy frozen landscape and everything is superficial. In Far Cry 2 they've gone for a more gritty, dirty, real world look, and it works.

@Fuxaz5 um, well without being there theres very little i can do, ive found that even 1 crappy part can blow your oc (ive seen cases where a hard drive affected an oc) like if all ur parts are xx but 1 is x that part will ruin everything, also keep in mind that no processor is the same, urs may only be able to go to 3.1 whereas the 1 right next to it (on the platter) could go to 3.8, most likely though since it wont turn on at 3.6 im gonna guess its your mobo...but again without being there...
@Fuxaz5 ...theres very little that i can do or even think about simply because of how many different things there could be, pm me with all your parts and the specs of the parts (and i mean everything right down to the brand of sata cables u use and how long they are) and ill have a better idea of what it is, but even with all that, i cant promise anything because again, id have to be there

i play this game called real life with um pixels the size of molecules and about as many frames per second as the speed of light travels to my eyes. And yeah u cant survive explosions or fire. But man the missions are really hard to do like getting married, kids, groceries, and getting a stable job. Oh yeah and I play real life in um... 250000 x 130000 Native resolution.

Crysis and Far Cry 2 were made by Crytek, Far Cry 2 uses an older version of Crytek, and Crysis uses the latest version, Of course Crysis is better.

i increased my volage and increased my System memory multiplier like it supposed to be and my pc wont turn on to 3.6ghz only i can go to 3.1ghz i saw others overclock this processor to 3.8ghz,can you help me if u know?

@Fuxaz5 um, well without being there theres very little i can do, ive found that even 1 crappy part can blow your oc (ive seen cases where a hard drive affected an oc) like if all ur parts are xx but 1 is x that part will ruin everything, also keep in mind that no processor is the same, urs may only be able to go to 3.1 whereas the 1 right next to it (on the platter) could go to 3.8, most likely though since it wont turn on at 3.6 im gonna guess its your mobo...but again without being there...

@Fuxaz5 ...theres very little that i can do or even think about simply because of how many different things there could be, pm me with all your parts and the specs of the parts (and i mean everything right down to the brand of sata cables u use and how long they are) and ill have a better idea of what it is, but even with all that, i cant promise anything because again, id have to be there

one... is e8400 i think but its still low end for newer games that will come out pretty soon ill just stick whit my GTX 260 i will buy it in november 15,also im gonna buy the graphic card and the intel motherboard that supports 1366 socket for i7,i still havent decided i can save upto 200$ if i buy the i5 750 but if i buy i7 i will have about 10$ dollars left.
so anyways when i get the graphic card ill plug in my pc whit q9400 until the end of 2011 december 31 and in 2012 ill buy the ram cpu

@Fuxaz5 rule of thumb is by the time you fill out the shipping form and click submit (for them to process your order and charge you) the price has already dropped cause something better is out, in 2012 you can probably get the i7 for about $200, i bought the core 2 quad back when it was the best thing around, and i think i remember paying like $800 for it, i picked one up a few months ago since i didnt feel like buying another i7 extreme especially for just a little server and it was like...

@Fuxaz5 ...core 2 duo that i picked up for my gf's pc, but then again if you dont get a cpu that matches to the gpu youll be bottlenecking it (but there will always be a bottle neck of some sort) before u get that gtx 260 id look around online, i can build u a pc with x, x, and x in it, and because theyre "built" for each other (work on the same level so theres not a big bottle neck) itll run better then if i built u a pc with x, xxx, and xx in it because then there will be a bottleneck

i play this game called real life with um pixels the size of molecules and about as many frames per second as the speed of light travels to my eyes. And yeah u cant survive explosions or fire. But man the missions are really hard to do like getting married, kids, groceries, and getting a stable job. Oh yeah and I play real life in um... 250000 x 130000 Native resolution.

I would compair warhead and farcry2, But anyways its hard to compair the graphics too eachother. Mainly because they are 2 totally different gaming fields, FarCry2 is in Africa and Crysis is in the tropical islands of korea. But upon my personal opinion for plant life FarCry 2 wins big time. As for water shader and color shading I'm going with crysis, Even tho you people ARE comparing 2007 vs late 2008...

Far Cry 2 is mad hard on the third difficulty level while way to easy on the 2nd.
I love walking through the jungles in both games. Seeing the god rays in DX10 through the leaves is incredible, moreso after a grenade explodes.
