only problem with the artist edition, why the hell did they put a amd x2 cpu in it. amd processors run very hot also they lack the l2 cache, i mean 1 mb L2 cache on a 2.2 gig dual core . now if the pop in a intel 2.2 your going to get 3 mb cache and cooler cpu.

it was a pretty dam good pc you know i had that one and played lots of new games (the best example i can give is f.e.a.r 2 ) never crashed no lags and i was doing most of the time more than one thing never had any problems with it

now thats how a graphic design on a laptop is supposed to look not all cheap, washed out and not worth $80 like the ones that dell sell, i won't be ordering a graphic design through them again until they improve the look of them and make worth $80 bucks

its not a skin, it was a special edition graphic design laptop hp was selling and there no longer available for sale through the site but you can probably find them on ebay or something or you can get a skin designed that looks something like that from skinit or mytego or decalgirl or something

I have an HP DV5z 1000 that I bought in august which i keep in extremely good condition, it over heats after 3 hours and then shuts down on me. get a cooling pad. oh, and get the highest cell battery you can get.

Just got it back from the HP service.

They substituted the fan and the hard drive.

No colling problems until now .

And I've already bought the cooling pad just in case...... =)

the battery isn't great, mine is worse than most as i have the c2d 2.5ghz. but thats why they make the extended batteries, other than that it games wonderfully, can be modded (not to much hp software)and has a wonderful screen.
