Do you find the remote in the steering wheel gets in the way when you turn? I was thinking of placing it in the exact same place and had concerns on the unit slipping around when you press on it and when making turns.
I did, in face, remove the remote from the steering wheel. it now resides on the shelf just above the center console, on the dash. I kept knocking the remote off while driving.
UPDATE: We have been having a few issues recently.
We now both have iPhone 4's and sometimes the bluetooth connects automatically but sometimes it does not. If we are both in the vehicle sometimes it picks up on my phone when I don't want it to. I have to remember to disable the Parrot in my phone settings. We often get a message that the device is not supported. sometimes it works great but sometimes we have to restart the car to get it to work. maybe a software update will fix these problems
Hey, thanks for the video.... I have one question. When you are playing music through the "Parrot" can you operate the the volume from your car radio volume controls and not only from the small "Parrot: remote.
@MrKevclizzle Once you are listening to your device, the volume knob only serves to mute at zero volume. BE careful not to turn that up too loud or you will regret it once you disconnect your device :).
I am working on a couple of follow-up videos so be sure to tune in over the next few weeks!
I picked mine up at Crutchfield. I recommend you get a harness specific to your vehicle too (unless you like soldering wires together). Crutchfield has an interactive web application so you can get the correct harness with the unit. They also sent me instructions on how to pull the radio out of the dash... which is very helpful if you don't have a factory manual.
@Zoinger Thanks for the review. I'm considering one of these. Wondering if you can answer a question for me: I have an '03 Prius that I have already had some custom electronics installed in. I have an available L/R RCA Audio input connection that is already integrated into the sound system. Can I use this to connect the Mki 9200? Can't seem to find any info on how the thing connects (type of outputs etc.) Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Had to break up my comment due to the limit on the number of characters...
One thing I did pretty much out of the box was to upgrade the firmware (instructions are on the Parrot site). At first it had trouble recognizing my iPhone. The unit had 1.24 software while the upgrade was to 1.4. It now has much-improved device detection -- now when I plug in my iPhone it recognizes it every time.
I just put one in my rig. I love it! Thanks for the review.
I placed my mic over the rear-view mirror, and had enough room in the middle of the speedo to place the display right in the middle; I can still read the MPH too.

Is it possible to control the volume of the car-radio with the Parrot-Remote?
Thanks

Thanks man, that was a great review. Just to clarify. I don't know if you mentioned if your wife has an iphone or not, but
* Phone calls are done over Bluetooth
* Music is done over the iPhone/iPod connector... right?

-we both use iPhones on it
-music is done with iphone connector OR bluetooth-works either way
:)
