Frieza beating Broly isn't an outlandish idea. Goku beat Broly with a moderate boost at SS1, and Frieza kept decent pace with that state without even having a 5th form like his brother. With better training, Frieza could be very strong.

Both these guys are jerks, but at least Frieza treats his buddies with some manner of respect. Broly's just an angry ape with no friends and would probably just end up self-combusting anyway. I'd never pick Broly's side.
