a little fun fact about the Lao-Shan Lung: apparently, the Lao-Shan Lung that are fought throughout the Monster Hunter games are only infants! it seems if one were to become an adult (which they might possibly never become), it would be massive, the biggest monster in the series (bigger even than the Raviente!) and almost unbeatable. perhaps this should be put forward one day as a new monster idea for the very next game. vote this comment up if you agree!

Yeah, like I said, it is not easy. They have a good amount of health, and if you're used to them, you get hit a lot.

There is no easy way to beat them. Look closely, learn their moves, and move patterns, and hit the weakspot. ( tail and stomach )

The easy way would be to abuse the rock in area 7, I think.

i wanna try kill him but im not sure what weps to use, i got fire dragonsword, tormentor, judgement(1096 dmg) wyvern blade blood and hard bone hammer(1040 damage) which 1 shuld i use?? btw my armour is full rathalas slotted with attack jewels.

I'd recommend the wyvern blade blood.

longswords and dual swords are the easiest to use against him. ( Bow and bowgun are easier, but it is nearly impossible to win with HR1 range weapon )

@MrMonsterhunterfan Lao has been there since the first MH, but in the first monster hunter you had to be a high hr to activate the quest (HR 14-16). Lao isn't new, but may be new to other people.

I just faced this guy couple mins ago i did everything you did except different gear i was using Tiger Agito weapon and Full Ceanatuar But gloves were from Tigrex i did loads of dmg but when time ran out i lost?

ashen and normal are exactly the same except their HP : normal has 23333 and ashen 26666.

That's the only difference

Red LaoS - Fire

Ashen LaoS - Ice / Water.

Red Lao S comes from the cold parts of the mhfu world.

Ashen Lao S comes from the Lava surrounded parts. Which is why its shell is gray, a burnt color.

don't worry, everybody has to start somewhere, right ?

Adrenaline is an armor skill that gives you buff(s) when your life is below or equals 40% of your full life.

Adrenaline +1 gives +90 defense points

Adrenaline +2 gives +90 defense points and +30% attack power ( works only on raw damages )

2 armors give potential ( adrenaline ) :

Monoblos : normal gives +1 and white +2. And also Rajang armor that gives +2.

You can also add it with danger jewels and the more powerful version ( forgot the name ).

2) break two times the shell on the hermitaur's back ( few chances )

it comes with it, but it is more of a thing to avoid XD it gives 30% chance to take 30% more damage

do every quest in 3 and 4* to unlock 4* lao shan, then kill him to unlock HR3 elder dragons.

She's doing it with HR1 equipment. If you do the village chief's quests up to 6 star then there is a Lao Shan quest she has for you to do.

To repel him, you have to get him down to about 9000 health before time runs out.

936 should be enough for a repel, just make sure you keep it sharp and use a mega demondrug. (I repelled it the first time with 716 attack Greatsword) (it had 716 after using demondrug)

Your hammer should work fine. To repel him you just have to keep attacking him non stop until the timer runs out. :)

Thanks, I want to repel him but I killed him. :) My attack power went up to 1040 when I used monoblos armor for the plate, gauntlet and helm, I used rathalos' waist and leggings. For the first try (that's when I already watched this video), I killed him when I activated the dragonator. (poor lao)

lol neither is easy to me, I guess i just don't have the right equipment, i've tried over 20 times and failed lol. Used Iron Devil mostly, gonna try doing it like this with monoblos and wyvern blade blood

Keep trying ! If it doesn't work now, it just means you don't have enough power.

Monoblos armor is one of the solutions.

FINALY OWNED THIS BASTARD! I used Monoblos armor with Torso inc leggings and waist, so i got Adrenaline +2 much easier, used Wyvern Blade Blood and lots of bombs, finaly repelled him, thought i would've killed him but i died twice, loosing my buff from felyne kitched and some time. But all in all i finaly beat this bastard!!! Now i need to beat the more powerful bastards in the HR5 quests to get to the even worse Bastard, THE AKANTOR!!!

hey man I need help killing him my cosin and I tryed killing the hr6 lao shun lung I use the tigerx katana it does 1058 with ok white sharness and he uses a great sword that does 958 with 250 dragon and we use demon flute demon drug mega demon drug also 26 large barrel bombs+ ( we bring gun powder to make more) and we still can't kill him any help any ideas or sugjustions ??

I don't really know what to tell you. you have a powerful equipment and you use lots of bombs. I never used more than the supply ones and no attack buff with the same equipment and I manage to do it.

If you apply the technique in my video, you should beat it. ( that's how I do it )

If you attack the head or chest , you're not going to repel him. Hit the back and his crotch.

And BTW, his crotch is his less sensitive spot. The most sensitive are the stomach, the head and the weakspot on the back.

You will have everything you need, except for unite monsters.

union ores can be found at pokke farm , bomb mining try that . it should help you

yeah, but you have to have mining point +2 that you get when you reach HR4, even if you use bomb mining.

ash lao shan is exactly the same ( it exists also in 2g, don't worry ). The only difference is that ash has 26666HP instead of 23333... what a difference XD
