  • They are bigger now, can you move them and you sound so funny on here ;) we are not afraid of them hahaha just they are just to big for the first door xxx

  • You need to sort prickly pears out as they keep getting me and my friends when we come in ;)

  • wow, thay all look great!

  • i bet a number of those cacti are pschoactive. Great collection!

  • OH MY GOD i have that cactus with the thorn thats green! :D

  • 愛情を感じます。

  • I have a tall cactus like yours at .56 that is about 6' tall, can it be shortened without damage? It now has about 3 dozen buds on it, a few opening every day.

  • Wow This is beautiful collection.

that tall one It's like a little kid. :)

  • barrle cactus needs more room lol

  • You have a very beautiful cacti collection mate! That big one need more room for its root tho. Use a 50 proc perlite and 30 proc cacti soli with some 20% of earthworm compost. The bigger ones will love that mix mate! I use it on all my bigger one.

    Greetings from Sweden,

    Peter

  • You did a good job since the excess rain in the UK doesnt allow cacti to grow that big in pots

  • What a great collection! I've tried to grow some cacti from seeds and all I have is this 1 inch sprout thats been there for months. You clearly take great care of your cacti.

  • love your collection im starting my own but i have one someone gave me it has grown so much i want to change to a bigger pot but its rather large and very very quilly long quills whats the safest trick to go about it? thanks pauly....

  • what camera do you use?

  • you should get a peyote!

  • cool! one of my friends collects cactus too ;-)

  • I like your collection!♥--Hugz and Light Bulbs--♥ Brittani aka Rhonda Anthony Tanner/R.A.T. Coaching :)

  • wow thats pretty rare it must have tooking awhile

  • yes, the biggest 1 is 10, nearly 11 years old, i have started some more from seed and taking 1 picture per day as they grow.

  • great hobby! 5*

  • thank you for commenting!

  • welcome. a real nice collection. I only have 4 or five and not grown from seeds.

  • where do you get yours from? do you have any pictures of them, out of say 10 seeds i only get 1 or 2 to grow up to be adults.

  • mine were give away, broken off fom other plants.

  • that is the good thing with cacti and sucullents, they will break up and grow away, do yours flower? i still mine in the fridge, but the big 1's i leave outside for the frost to get to them, so they flower when it becomes warm

  • I have a cactus with real long thick leaves that I tie up and every year in spring it has many huge red blossons. And I have a small agave type thing with grean and white leaves that has tiny white blossoms that turn into small agaves (cati). The easter cactus also blooms, the two normal stingy ones had no blossoms so far.

  • i'm hoping for my big cacti to flower, but they are long lived so it will be another 90 years before they even think of flowering, so i have left instruction for them to be looked after. with cacti it is a waiting game, so flower right away, so when old and some only once in their lifetime, i would be sad if i waited and missed it lol

  • Cheers Gordon for sharing this very interesting video with me. I love cacti

    Beautiful

  • Preciosa aficion, el cactus es una especie superviviente gracias al don de protegerse y acumular alimento.

Me encantan, hace tiempo tuve una coleccion.

    gracias por tu video, Javier

  • Do u have any succulents?

  • yes i do, Aloe, money plants and a few feverfew, but they are easy to grow!! just break pieces off and put them in compose and they are away!!

great to see you back online:)

  • i remember living in arizona wat back when i was in 5th grade. but here in michigan, we dont see any cactus. yeah, cut a hole in the ceiling. and of course video tape it!!! lol

  • lol i may try that, but i will need Recoates to climb them and chop the tops off in the end when they get to 100 ft

  • Very nice Dunk! Very dangerous looking too! :o

Do they take a lot of looking after? Wouldn't have thought they would survive very well in the UK!

Mind you! There's lots of pr*cks in the UK! LOL

  • hi Gordon, no they don't, they are gentle giants!! but i have to watch them, my partner keeps trying to kill them with overwatering them!!

  • Nice collection Dunk, unusual hobby!

  • Hi Dennise and mom thank you for looking at my video!! you are so funny:):)

  • Some nice cactus fondling there! LOL! 5*'s Dunk!

  • lol i know, they are so dangerous, i have to treat them with respect, to many thorns and i wouldn't live to see them flowering!!!

  • Dunk, geat video. my question. what happens when the 10 year old one is too big for the house? and how long do they live. that is something very cool to collect.

  • now that is a very good question! i was going to cut a hole in the ceiling, but was told no way lol but since 1 have changed it's feed from egg shells to flower food, it has stopped growing for the moment.

The big ones will live to say 150-300 years but will be over a 100 feet high, it should start to flower after it's 100th birthday:)

  • Wow cacti in Europe, I use to live in the dessert here in the Us and we had a type that we called the jumping cactus. If you hit it, the small segments would bounce off and well you would have catus parts in your cloths and skin! Very Nice Vid!

  • i want 1 of those cacti!! now my partner would really go mad at a jumping cacti lol thank Larry for looking at my video
