@frelfrel2 I've posted 4 songs from Episode 4 and three from Episode 6 on this channel. I think the whole TS5 series is available somewhere on YT... use the search input field to find them.
You got that right. I have finally got what I need to play the PAL format DVD's on my television. Now I have to save the money to order them and I will be in heaven.
@mnemick I ripped the PAL DVDs on my PC and burned NTSC versions to watch on my TV. Supposedly TS5 is in negotiations to be broadcast in the US. And hopefully (thnx to Alison K's clout) might be issued in R1 format DVD over here too. Cross yer fingers...
@mnemick TS 1 - 3 kind of catered to a rather narrow audience, mainly fans of Celtic and American folk music. TS4 has Dan T., and James Taylor, a major artist with a big following, and TS5 has AK - so those two series would find fans in the US & Canada. If #5 is released here and sells well, maybe the others will eventually follow.
@lordchauncey Alison Krauss was in Series 3 too wasn't she..? It was 4 years ago so I can't really remember it all.. That had a big following! It's thanks to that series we've had the past 2. Otherwise I don't think they'd have kept going.
@fearghasmor I have TS3 on DVD - Alison's not on it. TS5 is her first appearance in this series. In 2007, AK was busy with the Robert Plant project & tour. If she "dropped in" on the TS3 sessions, it wasn't recorded.
@mnemick There is no better forum for this kind of music. Aly Bain, Jay Ungar, Jerry D and BBC-Scotland have earned our eternal gratitude for putting this series together. Almost makes me want to move to the UK!
I want to watch episodes 4 + 6.... grumble grumble

@lordchauncey I heard that it may be released NTSC Region 1. I could never figure out the thought process for NOT doing this all along. Go figure.
