  • \,,/ Nice \,,/.

  • The part that starts just before 6:30 is just...so...damned...epic!

  • @WolfsAurora87 Doom vocals from that time usually sound somewhat Ozzie-ish. It defined the genre sound.

  • nothing in common with Ozzy vocals.. I hear more Saxon's Biff Byford instead.

    Anyway super fine, heavy doom

  • If you like these check out-Pentagram and Count Raven. This is a fuckin killer doom track! old school style =)

  • TOTAL

  • Get stoned while getting stoned

  • I FUCKING LOVE THIS BAND!!!! My life is now complete.

  • Estupendo

  • Fucking shit, this is amazing...

  • I can't believe they were unknown until 2006.

  • So ozzy

  • No one appreciates guitar solo's like this anymore.

  • Easily one of my favourite doom/NWOBHM bands next to Scald and Solstice.

  • New Wave of British Heavy Metal also known as Not With Out Being High Man... ;)

  • When was this album recorded?

  • i couldnt stop myself from air drumming

  • @cky92ahoy sure man no body cant stop airdrumming when good music its playing.

  • These vocals used to really bug me... Then, I thought about it.

I now imagine that he's a wizard, and this is definately a great wizard voice :D

  • sounds like ozzy osbourne with a cold

  • Voldemort?

  • @SiriusWolfStudios

    Sauron :D

  • @SiriusWolfStudios

Fuck that shit. It has to be Sauron man.

  • The vocal sings likes to Ozzy Osbourne :)

  • ROD 3 MOTHERFUCKERS!! HERE WE GO!!!!

  • Where can I download this album?! I must have it!!!

  • @DAVIDOFKRYPTON Why don't you buy it instead? Douchebag.

  • @NSTM666 What, is itunes suddenly pirating or something? I've found PA's previous album for download on some of the band's own websites/music pages, but I haven't found this one. When I find a band I like, I have no problem supporting them with my money; Pagan Altar clearly deserves it. Obviously you feel the same. Do you know where I can download this album *from the band* on the internet?

  • 4:45 \m/>.<\m/

  • your mom thinks it is fine

  • kinda cool but the singer needs to stop being a ozzy clone

  • @darkmiami You have a micropenis, don't you?

  • this type of music for some reason takes me into the late 70's 80's era...like when Metal kicked fuckin ass...also reminds me of maiden/sabbath/megadeth/angel witch

  • Doom Metal above all in terms of dark music.

  • His voice is so nasal singing threw the nose

  • this is not iron maiden, this is NWOBHM!!!!

  • @rinhorksith Iron Maiden is NWOBHM <_< LOL

  • @masterthehate2 yes I know but I mean that this sound is not just from maiden.

  • @rinhorksith lol lol

  • fucking EVIL!!!!! FUCK YEAH!!!!

  • @FunkKlock as mulletman would have said: it´s pure evil man, PURE...EVIL!

  • take Judas Priest, and put Ozzy on vocals

  • @555julianfairbanks The DOOM METAL vibe yes. But the music was all Sabbath baby.. No doubt in that.

  • Pagan Altar. Second only to the Sabbath.

  • anyone Pagan? :P

  • awsome fucking song

  • he sounds like Ozzy :D

  • @MetalNasko every doom metal singer (except shitty fake funeral doom) sounds like ozzy except candlemass

  • @bananab0y0 I never noticed that with Witchfinder

  • @Rapturized you are right

    sorry

  • Comment removed

  • The singing is pretty bad, I have to say.

  • @ADeadHeaDz its better than autotune its real not fake thats good enough \../

  • @metalheadrocker44 Not really. He sounds like some bad Country reject or something.

  • @ADeadHeaDz great band doh better then the majority of shit you nowadays

  • this is amazing, I wish that I could find it at a store, but that's not gonna happen, cause I already tried, guess I'll have to try Amazon, but this band definately has space reserved in my collection, wished I'd of heard of them sooner.

  • sounds a lot like black sabbath.

  • Alot of Doom does. Tony Iommi started the whole thing of Doom.

  • @BuAbbY how bout you just go an jerk off to justin bieber's soft pre-mature voice instead you fucking idiotic faggot!

  • @BuAbbY Totally agree with Renardwarrior and please do as he suggests!

  • @hutchcat123 noob i hate biber and this rock its ugly for me sry but i DISLIKE THIS

  • @BuAbbY I think perhaps you are a younger person and we should agree to differ opinions on this subject also the fact that any danger from satirical wit or amusing banter is obsolete and likely to be extremely disappointing !

  • What album is this?

  • Wow, great post. I have never heard this band before. Amazing stuff.

  • The riff starting at :25 is fucking classic!

  • One of the best bands that ever existed! \m/

  • Phenomenal record

  • Doom Metal at it's finest

  • Great world like me man

  • How can you possibly dislike this song?

  • it is a too happy music for the name .I thought it was something more funebre and dark.

  • @adekito

    too happy?

I think Depressive Black Metal may be what you're in the market for if this isn't dark enough for you, kid.

  • @adekito Old school doom metal \m/

  • @adekito This is good metal, and good metal doesn't have to be depressing. xP

  • To end the when was this written debate: "A & T. Jones. 1981." is what is written underneath the lyrics on their site.

  • His voice reminds me of Ozzy a little bit.

    But Great music overall. :D!

    \m/ \m/

  • Looove it

  • awesome song. I listen to it everytime I get hammered LOL!

  • The singer sounds like Bugs Bunny

    Witchfinder General is better

  • @cockroach2 hahahahahahaha

  • The intro seems a little similar to strangers on the shore by bitches sin, well atleast imo

  • @55bored u mean strangers on the shore by bitches sin sounds like this song

  • these guitars are the epic legendary shit!

  • Much, if not all, of the material was written in the 80's... so he wasn't really wrong at all.

  • I think this is so beautiful. It speaks to the soul.

  • i like this a lot. its really good.

  • Band is amazing.

  • Holy shit this is sick! deff NWOBHM

  • indeed, this band is criminally underated...

  • I want tabs... that intro was awesome

  • Great new old music.

  • Comment removed

  • this........8 out of 10

  • NWOBHM forever. Singer still sounds like a morbidly depressed Bon Scott, and I mean that as a compliment.

  • This is one of the best albums I've ever listened to in my entire life. Metal dosen't get more beautiful than this.

  • Pagans Rising, a new age of cleansing, renew, rebirth for the old crap.

  • Listened to best when stoned.

  • Immense band!

  • wow that was awesome

  • im seeing these dudes at roadburn! doom 4 life! \m/

  • Pure Heavy Metal.

  • doom but doom is heavier anyway

  • Very Iron Maidenish eh? Maiden Sabbath cross breed maybe? Good doom BTW. Prefer Witchfinder General but the one thing these guys have over Witchfinder is that they still play live.

  • ya i guess you can say that tho pagan altar was around the same time as maiden and sabbath they just never got as popular

  • maidenish only by symptosis!! all the material of this album(released in 2006), was composed in the period 1977-1983!!

  • @Hellenicwarrior84 - I am well aware of this my friend, I am just saying.

  • Gotta say, my opinion buttttttttttt

    Pagan Altar > Iron Maiden

  • Hard Decision, but both great bands!

  • Awesome username btw, wearing my Graves at Sea shirt right now.

  • Sorry if your confusing my screen name with a specific band or something... its simply for the genres of music.

  • Sludge metal exactly. Graves at Sea are sludge. Probably one of the bigger bands in the genre too.

  • I'll have to check them out, i've been more into doom lately.

  • Come on.. seriously? Witchfinder? Their first album was ok, but the other two... eeeee. To each their own though (Y)

  • @DoomMetalSludge When I saw Pagan Altar live it was the greatest show of my life... Unbelievable performance!!

  • @DoomMetalSludge What the hell is wrong with all you idiots? Why do you find the need to post all the bands you think it sounds like? It's fucking Pagan Altar, that's it. Stop trying to pretend to be so damn smart and define it using other bands.

  • @Necrosparkles When I had heard the song for the first time exactly one year ago, that was my initial reaction. I have since listened to Pagan Altar albums a lot and I now know that they have their own defining sound. Hounding on me for comparing them to mainstream contemporaries is simply stupid because people who are just introduced to these bands will naturally compare them to more popular bands they have heard before.

  • @Necrosparkles And by the way, even though this music is pretty unique on its own, anyone who denies the fact that this doesn't sound like Black Sabbath is extremely stupid.

  • @DoomMetalSludge You know you're dumb, right? You don't seem to understand what I said before... I never said they didn't sound like Black Sabbath, they clearly do. And I wasn't hounding you because you compared them to a mainstream band. Everyone on every fucking YouTube video sits around and comments on all the bands they think the video sounds like. Who fucking cares, a 3rd grader could tell you this sounds like Black Sabbath.

  • @Necrosparkles I am of the opinion that you can just kick back and enjoy the tunes rather then be a pretentious prick and call people out for no reason. Now I am not going to call you dumb, because clearly you show signs of intelligence by listening to a killer band like this. Just don't be a fucking asshole dude seriously.

  • No words, just amazing Rock lesson understanding, incredible NWOBHM pagan band, great, hope see you soon on stage! You Rock!

  • My jaw dropped when I heard the leadguitar parts of this song. The solos are purely amazing!

  • It's like a more melodic Black Sabbath but with like Jethro Tull singing! Cool

  • this song has such a good vibe to it, especially durin the choruses after the solo, its just amazing

  • pagan altar have been around since the early(82)80s and they fuckin rock.....i know it sounds older but its just the awesom analog recording....there demo is the best versions of there best songs one after another!!!get it and also check out SIR LORD BALTIMORE!!! DOOM FOR LIFE!!

  • actually the years between which the band was active are 78-82.

  • INDEED DOOM FOR LIFE BROTHA!

  • sounds like sabbath!!!!

  • This makes me happy in my pants.

  • But isn<t it 30 years or so?? not the recording..the material? didnt they make it back then?

  • good music made in this decade? no fukkin way. i think my ears are lieing to me

  • It was actually made about 3 decades ago but recorded on this one.

I guess your ears lied to you again.

  • Well, according to all these people, this song was made 30 or so years ago, but I think this band still makes songs like this nowadays.

  • i love this , it sounds like ozzy osburne is singing

  • Kinda like a mix between Ozzy and Dave Mustaine, I mean he's much more nasal than Ozzy, but he does kinda sound like him.

  • i always thought the singer sounded like jethro tull's singer, but a little harsher.

  • aswomwe kik ass

  • the modren day Black Sabbath.

  • except this is about 30 years old...

  • this is from 2006

  • But I think this song was written a very long time ago, according to some people in and close to the band.

  • @Lumberjack4591 He's partially right though, Pagan Altar apparently wrote these songs very long ago and simply recorded them recently.

Amazing album though, got it both on CD and some die-hard vinyl issue that came with postcards. Fuck yes...!

  • @Lumberjack4591 wasnt it written like 30 years ago?

  • @Lumberjack4591 hehe, what a burn

  • @Lumberjack4591 it was recorded in the 70s but never released until 2006.

  • Awesome!

  • PERFECT!!!

  • Samhain is their best song. And Cry of the banshee

  • this is from their reunion, saw them perform this, brilliant

  • FUCKIN SHIT! this is definitely one of his better solos, Alan Jones sounds a little like Allen Collins

  • What do you expect of a nwobhm doom band?

Anyway, why is your cover more pale than mine xD?

  • Cool tune.A bit much of the 80's solo though.

  • Well, I think this was from the 80's or is this from their 2004 reunion? I only just discovered this group so I have no idea...

  • the material was written back then, and rerecorded in recent times.
