As shocking as it may sound, this variation actually tastes better than a plain caipirinha.
True, she claimed to make a simple caipirinha, but you can't fault her for modifying the original version of the recipe. I personally love strawberry caipirinha, but I've really gotta try adding pineapples as she suggests. Looks delightful.
Can be beautiul, tasty,...but tradicional? Far from that...and another think...cachaca is not a run, CACHACA is CACHACA!

I agree...strawberries?? And its pronounced Cashasa, which is actually a "guaro", not rum made from Sugar Cane.
