  • This will live forever...

  • Again the song I heard several times in my teens. I distinctly remember this. I liked this song. And I continue to like it till my end.

  • isn't the actor Pankaj Mullick himself? thanks for the song...

  • bohat khoobsoorat

  • rare classic collection. thanks for uploading

  • an extremely rare and collectable song from immortal PM. Thanks Musique4ever,

    you may live forever !!!

  • This is the first song shot in a moving train. In the audio disc I hear only pankajda. beautiful.

  • One of my PM favorite. This is the first time I saw the song in film Thanks!

  • What a gem of a song....how can we ever thank PM for such excellent songs...RIP

  • Wah Janab kiya Baat hai....

  • How many vividly recall that craving for sunshine and warmth of India after spending few months in dreary gray freezing winter in USA? This song generated a very powerful hope of greenery and spring around the corner and kept me going. I must have played this song hundreds of times in early seventies. What a beautiful feeling engendered by such a rich voice, simple music, and mesmerizing melody?

  • great !!

  • Beautiful

  • None like this one.

  • so soothing, so melodious, you listen it you feel so relaxed, Musique4ever you are doing a big favour to a music lovers.

  • yeh kahawat balqul sahi hay OLD IS GOLD

  • Very nice collection.

  • This is my father's favourite of his college days. He is now 86!

  • @rk10101 Wow! The same with my father too - his favourite during his college days in early forties. Unfortunately he is no more now. Would have been 86 too if he was alive! Thnx

  • Another PM gem. Thanks.( Too bad we don't have his YEH RAATEN YEH MAUSAM on video except in Lataji's voice. She is of course the goddess Saraswati herself and sings it beautifully, but this lyric in anyone else's voice doesn't sound as sweet as in PM's own rendition.)

  • The year was 1941.

    Producer: New Theatres, Calcutta

    Director: Subodh Mitter

    Music: Pankaj Mullick

Cast: Pankaj Mullick, Ahin Chowdhry, Jyoti Prakash, Bharati Devi.

  • which year is that?

  • Excellent , and thanks a million.

  • Thanx for the Video - Do you have Piya Milan ko Jaana?

  • Terrific! Do you have chaley pavan ki chaal?

  • Class apart

  • A very talented man, Music director, singer actor. I think its him in the video.

He was equally good as Saigal Sahab.

  • He was Saigal Sahab's mentor and Guru - He was the one who could dare to slap Saigalji for not singing well and Saigal took it as a challenge and came out with an exceptional performance later on .

  • Just goes to show, doesn't it?

How many people really know about him, other than bengalis? He was the one who taught K.L. Saigal almost everything about Music while Saigal sahab was at Calcutta and sharing a room with Prithviraj Kapoor. And here you are comparing the Guru with his disciple. I don't mean to be petty and regional here, but it is true that the bengali contribution to the inception and flourishing of the early Indian & Hindi film industry has not been wilfully acknowledged.

  • Thank You. I had never thought that i would be able to see this song on video. surprising that the record version is different from this one. In the record version, Pankaj Mullick himself has sung the whole song.

if there are more such videos, please upload.

    thanks again

  • A Blast from the past. Excellent indeed. Speechless.

  • Thanx for the song. Can you pleasepost Piya Milan ko Jana too?
