@mrvolgrim Gorilla on first boss for extra interrupts, turtle for everything else. Turtle's name is Ironhide, Gorilla's name is Apeface. I name all my pets after Transformers, with one exception for the first pet I ever had.
@DemonicDooba Basically at heroic level, with a few pre-heroic and a couple raid level pieces. So you don't have to out-gear the content a ton, though it helps. I had a patient group, good healer, and lots of prior practice, so I'd actually advise new pet tanks to start with content they know they can handle.
@MrSteinIsSublime Depends on how you interpret the patch note. Tenacity pets currently get 70% of our armor rating, which they're saying all pets will now get. It seems like a buff to other pet trees, not a nerf to tank pets. It's only a nerf if pets ONLY get 70%, not 70% + their base armor, which is what it has always meant in the past.

How geared are you compared to content when you tank?

@DemonicDooba Though for raids, 1 to 1.5 tiers above most times. In Wrath I was "at content" occasionally but usually had to outgear it a bit.
