1) This whole video seems like one giant string of "that's what she said" moments
2) Agreed with @BoomBopRogue with the tutorial being oversimplified. Sorry LSFightGuy, I am SO not going to be using YouTube learning about my Novus if/when I get one. Plus, I see papers on the table in front of you. If those are instructions that came with the Novus, we just wasted a lot of time watching this video. Reviews are user opinions, not how-to's or walkthroughs.
@Hyrvydder I expressed my opinion as well as showed everything that I bought in great detail. I suppose you could call this an unboxing then.
My goal was to show how everything was assembled and to show that Ryan is giving you everything he says he is.
Ryan has already proven that the blades, and the hilts, stand up to serious wear and tear in his latest film with Michael RVD2. I can't evaluate how they behave in a choreographed situation because nobody in Seattle has a Novus yet.
@JasonT123101 the weight is a little more than I expected, but its much lighter then any other saber prop I've ever handled (in which case, what was I expecting?). I don't know the exact weight, but its a little lighter then a standard steel stapler
cant lie i really disliked this video i found the tutorials kinda simplified and unneccesary but then i powered through to the inground trampoline(Fucking awesome btw) and the ending and that just look on your face epitomizes the dream so kudos for you :) now i am going back to using papertowel rolls for my lightsabers :P MARKER MADE BUTTONS FOR THE WIN
@Danny121208 if you watch my video "3-way fight: backyard battle" you'll see me in a wrist brace. Yeah, I broke my arm doing a flip on that same trampoline wearing shoes. So yeeeeaaaaaah, not doing that again anytime soon.
@mrNEMOKone It's not for the faint of FanFilm-Making heart. It's a huge investment, but if you have a costume, or someone else with a Novus, it is absolutely worth it!
stunt sabers ftw, CF blades for the win, need to put some cash aside for a Novus, need something to go against the randomsabers hilt i have .... lol if anyone wants to come to scotland for a saber dual i got a huge garden out back hehe
nice, loved the ending, wished i wasn't on the east side of the u.s. , i'd help duel you in a movie. Nice review, well spoken, insightful, and entertaining, the force is with you. :D
@jrca96 also these are hand turned aluminum, they are not plastic, they are ment for stunt work as well as making your say comicon or starwars conferance costumes differnt than everyone who has a force fx saber
is the blade removable
xMikiz 1 day ago

wat is the program that u used to make the lightsaber have the lightsaber effects at the end of the video
sith241 8 months ago
@sith241 Adobe After Effects. I only have 6.0
The guy who makes the Novus, Ryan Wieber, has tutorials on his website (ryan-w.com) as to how to do the effects.
