  • Nice dude! can i aks how many chins you can do only with your bodyweight?

    Great vid!

  • @tomda21

    34 pull-ups

  • [Average youtube comment]im 14 and i can do 15 of those[/Average youtube comment]

  • Thats pretty good, I'm at 141lbs and can do 2 reps with 100lbs attached. Working to match my bodyweight. Hopefully I'll reach my goal by the end of October.

  • whats the name of the belt that you use to put weights on?

  • @Frankiej27

Its a Progryp Leather Dipping Belt, I got it off bodybuilding . com.

I upgraded the chain and clips

  • i wanna try something like this but i felt like i would look retarded in the gym i go to lol

  • beast.

  • Every time I start adding more weights in my weighted pull ups and chin ups, it's not long before elbow tendinitis kicks in to slow all my workout done. Really annoying but there's not much I can do other than recup during that time =/

  • lol, nice pullups, comments below are funny. Trying to get to your level myself...

  • wow

  • That my friend is impressive. If you think about it, very few people on this planet are capable of this feat.

  • My nuts are so big I feel like I'm doing 400pounds sometimes.

  • you should loop it 20 times

  • holy christ. how much do you row???

  • nice one. can u put up some movies of your flips please

  • flips??

  • Opps, speed reading gone wrong. I misunderstood. Couple questions though if you could please help. I'm doing 5 x 5 with 55lbs, how long are your rest periods? Why do you choose such wide grips? And aprox on adverage what % of your body weight do you have to pull before you can look at doing one arm chinups? Oh and the last question how many years did it take you in this excerise to get where you are?

  • Sir, you are immensely powerful and I hope to be as strong as you are one day. That being said...

This isn't quite a full ROM for you. Your chin went over the bar, yes, but you can do better than this.

  • Oh dear, i can do 1 pull up, with no weights, and i just die :P

any suggestions? cuz I wanna do what you've done sometime when i grow up XD

  • you must have some grip

  • very impressive mate, im gona start looking into weighted pull ups as i need something harder

  • that hurts right?

  • no it doesn't hurt

  • @ExtremistPullup how big are your lats from doing these pull ups man?

  • hey son any tips Im 169lb working on my weighted pull ups and triple back flips?

  • @yarning do weighted pull-ups before any other workouts 5 sets of 5 3 times a week. adding weight when it gets to easy. I can't do flips.

  • I remember watching your videos years ago, you used to put very less weight and I was so impressed, now you have put even more! nice seeing you again.

  • impressive! can you do a one arm pull up?

  • ah, ok, i've seen it, you can :)

do you know how much weight you have to pull with 2 arms to be able to do a one arm pu?

  • Its hard to say they aren't directly related the same goes the other way if you can do a one arm pull-up doesn't mean you can do twice your body weight with two arms. its mostly technique and practice.

  • Awesome strength. I am posting a response video..not because I think mine are better..LOL..but I do weighted pull ups too:)

  • definitely impressive.

  • That was exceedingly badass. I'm going to go out on a limb here and surmise that you have no problems doing one-handed pull-ups. Your tendons must be screaming for the Ibuprofen, though.

  • Im impressed, i wiegh 180 and i can do 135lb strapped to me about 3 or 4 times. not sure my max. not many people can do regular pull-ups let alone weighted ones.

  • respect,

    but just one rep...lol

vid was over before it began

  • ya 186 lbs is pretty heavy I could have uploaded me preparing for the pull-up but that wasn't very interesting.

  • I can't believe this video is 2 years old in March. I need to get a new video out.

Before the end of the year. I'll have a new one.

  • Bro man....I neeed some Help, I fell apart if you remember me, I am/was the Boxer dude that was only 140lbs and doing shin ups with 90lbs on me, I havent been at the gym for about 8 months, dont know what happened...I need some motivation or something, I dont even have the guts to go back to my Boxing club! I need your help for some words of wisdom and hopefully I can step into my old gym(YMCA) Today and get a good sweat, Thanks Man, ttyl

    Eric A.

  • And this is coming from who..

Probably some who has never lifted a weight or done pull-ups since high school, if that.

  • Then or opinion really doesn't matter does it. Its easy to say I'm doing them wrong from where your sitting.

  • Damn, I tried with me (86) + 60 kg and I couldnt do even half... Otherwise doing normal 15.

  • when I started doing weighted pull-ups I was doing 4 sets of 20 reps and I only did 25 lbs 4 sets of 5 . even adding 186 lbs I can only knock out 20-26 reps.

  • Well, YOU are the Extremist pullup guy. :d You sure knock 'em out...

  • damn thats crazy I cant do one pullup right now! im only 196 pounds also. what do u think i could do?

  • my advice:

put a chair or stool under the pull ups bar, get on top of it (so ur head is over the bar) then let go off the chair/stool and go down SLOWLY.

so basically you only do the "going down part" of the pull ups.

do that and you will trigger muscle gain on ur lats and biceps and you will b doing complete good form pull ups in few weeks or months :D

  • Do push ups , buy hantels , and try doing pullup's with assist like chair or smthg :]

  • damn your strong bro!

  • Wow!!!!!

  • Can't wait to see your 1000 pound pull up video.

  • Where can you get a weight belt like that either online or a store that'd have it?

  • just search for "dipping belts"

The best belt that I know of is by Ironmind. It supports up to 1000lbs...

  • I got my leather on on bodybuildingdotcom and it came in one day and was 23? dollars I replaced the chain and clip with a stronger chain and 2 clips for each end.

not worried about 1000 lbs though 200 is good enough for me.

  • wow thats soo amazing dude, and i wonder, how many pullups can you do like just normal ones, with just your bodyweight.

  • i've never used one before but i would have to think vests are much better, although this would be cheaper

  • I'm working towards 25 overhand widegrip pullups with a 25lb dumbell. Its tough...really a separate category when you begin adding weight.

  • Lets see body reps... I guess you can't do more than 20..

  • Let me guess you only watched one of my videos

  • Paronomastic, is an idoit. Good job. I've only done 135 lbs of extra weight while I weighed 220. I got keep trying. lol.

  • damn. I cant even do a pullup with 60 lbs.

  • When I first started I only used 25 lbs.

  • Impressive. I started doing pull up training when I was seriously overweight. I was 310lb, and worked for months to be able to do a single pull up. Since then, I've lost a lot of that weight, and pull ups seem a breeze now! :)

  • congrats keep up the good work.

  • That was very good. Can you do one arm pull-ups?

  • awesome bro!

  • Dude you look like your in the Marines.

LOL My Bro in the Core and he's in love with Pull-Ups. Im decent. 20 is my best.

  • I wasn't aware they sold fake plates

  • Hey man, is it safe to do pullups everyday, primarily for reps?

    thanks

also great job on the 386lb pullup.

  • I wouldn't do them everyday. you should let your muscles recover.

  • good job man got some true power in your hands =]

  • dumbass. you jealous brah? gjdm.

  • gtfo and take your fail with you

    good job extremist pullup man

  • yes one rep with 386 lbs total

  • nice

  • The Pull up Master! You are a freak! Way to make us mere mortals look like wimps.

  • and hes doin widegrip

  • Great pull bro...very impressive. That's very strong. Keep at it and you'll get to 400 sooner than you think...

  • Best I've seen so far.

  • nice job man... keep up the good work !

  • absolutely fucking amazing. great job! what an inspiration...

  • WHAT?!!! That's crazy!! GOOD JOB

  • WOW!How many muscle ups can you do now?

  • ive read that if u can pull 180% of your body weight you can do a 1 arm pullup. is this true with you?

  • Sounds logical but if you can't do one you should with enough practice.

  • great job.

do u ever use an underhand grip ? n if so how much do u do there ?

  • no, I'm sure I can't do half that weight underhanded.

  • ur still a beast. shitt...

  • I can do more underhanded, but that probably owes to my weakish forearm strength.

  • underhand is a chinup.

  • That's sick. Good explosion. YOu have the world record? I bet Kali (Kalimuscle) might give you some comp. 230 doing 10 muscle ups.

  • you would have made a pretty good sprint kayaker hahah

  • Nicely done, Steven. I've always gone for total reps before dismount (I was a gymnast) and never thought to add so much weight.

  • how do you work on your grip? it must be hard just holding onto the bar with all that weight

  • I work my Grip by not using straps and doing weighted pull-ups, Rows, Shrugs, dead lifts, and curls.

  • I just started adding weight to my pull ups. curious how many non weighted pull ups can you do on a good day?

  • He can do 28.

  • wow u must have great lats

  • my 2 rep max is 165 lbs

  • Personally i recon pull ups is the best form of upper body exercise it builds so much power in your arms

most people such as bodybuilders are big and full of muscle but yet if you watch them many of them cannot and even if struggle to lift 150% of their bodyweight even though they lift so much weights but you can lift 193% and probably even more if you were more determined

    keep doing what you do

  • pullups work your lats, not arms.

  • they work both in addition to your rear delts, traps, and brachioradialis (upper forearm)

  • ok, i didnt know that :P thanks for the info

  • ooo nice:D:D i find it hard enough doin chin ups or pull ups with my body weight and im only lyk 120lbs

  • Great work! Regarding the world record in Reps! Magazine; Have you heard about Jasper Benincasas double bodyweight chin? At a bodyweight of 130 pounds he did a chinup with 265 pounds attached. It is referred o in many independent sources. That's a total of 395! Your videos are ver impressive and inspireing. Keep posting.

  • I've seen links with his name in them.

I'm waiting for Guinness World Records to get back to me regarding "The Most weight added to a pull-up)"

  • Great! That would be very interesting to know. Maybe ou'll keep me posted if you hear from them. You could probably go for the record, and prove it. A lot of those old feats are hard to prove. Yours aren't. My personal best is 50kg (110 lbs)added at bodyweigt 69kg (152 lbs).

  • well done, thats impressive

  • I can't do a proper pull-up. So I guess I should start off with lat pulldown?

  • that would be a good place to start how many improper ones can you do. Or just chinups

  • wwtf? u got a lot stronger man. is that 386 plus ur bodyweight? damn

  • 386 total, he did a pull-up with 186 pounds on his belt

  • OH NOT IMPRESSIVE HAHAH jk man good job ii mean that. not hating or anuything, but shouldnt u be doing around 225 now cause didnt u do like 200 pounds pullup like a year or two ago? just saying man, good job anyway, uare r doing 100 pounds more than i am doing =(

  • that 208 lbs video isn't very good and I've been changing my pull up routine around where I wasn't going for strength but size.

  • total combined weight

  • strong.

    stronger than roger.

  • Oh yeah, do you use the lat pulldown machine? If so, how much weight do you use on lat pulldown?

  • never done lat pulldowns.

  • Ever do weighted chins? Are they as good as your weighted pullups?

  • I have always done weighted pull-ups but when I reach my goal I'll start doing them.

  • yep, you are strong. I need to post one with my 1 rep max also. check out my channel

and tell me what you think

  • pretty good 1 handed pull-up will be hard at 215 lbs bodyweight. have you been doing weighted pull-ups?

  • You look like Henry Rollins.

    Beast.

  • people say I look like roger federer.

  • Nice. How often do you increase your max rep. Do you try to progress every week? every 2 weeks? etc.?

  • I try my max every two weeks with a least 3 days of rest. and after a light warm up with 135 lbs.
