Very cool! If you are willing to share information...what printer did you use for your project and how did you change the firmware to work the z-axis? Is the project still alive?
nice job. how did ou managed to cancel paper feed and head clean movements on paper feeder motor. because i have problem with it. is there any way to acces in to controller and block that ? otherwise printer want to go so much back and forward. my printer is epson c67 my plan to us second motor to cancel that extra movements triggering transistor with head carrier motor. So that will activate secondary step motor. do you have better idea?
If you look close you can see the roller deposit a new layer of plaster across the surface every time it returns to the far right of the screen. There must be a mechanism lowering the bin of plaster before the new layer is spread out?
COOL! What printer did you use? What modifications? Can you produce a set of plans, or at least some directions for sale? In other words I WANT ONE! Thanx.

The use of plaster is a great idea. Does that mean its possible to use coloured water as a refill for the print cartridge?

So how was it with plaster and ink? Good/bad? Did you changed to some other compound? Presumably you used dye-based ink here (not pigment version).
Cool machine all in all.
