I go to a school of 15,000 students. I was the only one who was taking the Vow of Silence. 2nd block i was sent to a teacher. I was force to remove the duck tape and break the Vow of Silence. This is why: "If a stranger or a parent walks into the school we don't want them thinking we duck tape our students". Like this comment if you think I should make a complaint to the School Bored.
Just finished my 24 hours of silence as of 4 minutes ago, school was the hardest part, but I stayed strong, and remained silent. I encourages others to partake in this movement next year!
Why, if you are fortunate to be able to speak up for these people, would you be silent?
I support the idea that these people need a voice, but shouldn't we advocate for them instead of being silent? The action of being silent does not do much for these children.
@TheStormPooper who would you notice more 10 people out of 30 speaking out or 10 people out 30 using NO communication whatsoever it also teaches those that are taking the vow what it's like and raises awareness for those around and for the people taking the vow.
@TheStormPooper Everyone is constantly hearing about voices reaching out to charities, this is a unique way to raise awareness about the wonderful work FTC does, or even to a lesser extent just to remind people to feel more grateful.
He has always moved me! From the first time I saw a speech or video including him. This brought me to tears, it always does, Proudly Taking the Vow of Silence for 24 hours Wednesday ! <3
@ImmaEvilMonkey somehow I feel like ur in my school because my school did an assembly for the vow of silence and we are doing the vow of silence on monday
I'm taking the Vow of Silence with my friends this year. Michel came to We Day at Roger's Arena and I got to see him. His story was so sad that I think at least half of the people watching cried. :(

If we take a vow of silence, how will we tell people who wonder what we are doing what we are fighting for (or against)?
